Neither see me on roundabout.
First a truck with a trailer, then a guy in a car. Both fail to give way at roundabout, despite I was already on it.

Claying a couple of square feet of my recently acquired Alfa GT. I'd say the cars never seen clay in its whole life, judgeing by the amount of contaminates on the surface of the paint.

does the steering wheel buttons work with this? im planning to buy this one
I see that’s in an Alfa, I have one too, would I be able to use this with my steering wheel controls? I already have a pioneer single din unit in there that has the adaptor plugged into it
They didn't work on mine. The guy who fitted it said there wasn't a connect2 cable available for it. I did miss the steering controls for a while, but soon got used to the touch screen instead.
What the resolurion of the video for totally display?
800X600. Its very watchable though.

Yeah... Steering wheel buttons are now useless.. I missed them at first, but soon got used to it. No compatibility issues at all.. Everything just works. Its an excellent head unit.
Nice video, l am about to install a 7m x 5m garage from steeltech sheds and was wondering what the cost was for the concrete base was and did you put down a dpc, rebar and expansion joints. what if any other pitfalls should I look out for.
I think it was around a grand. Ended up being a whole lorry load, nine cubic metres. It did account for a pretty deep slope on the garden though, so its probably rising to two foot thick at one end. Thirty newton meters I seem to remember the strength. Ask the guys at Steeltech though, they'll be able to advise you better.

***UPDATE*** I have it sussed, as to what files this Pioneer unit will play. First download your video, I use this place to paste in the URL and download www.videograbby.com/# Then download the free version of DIVX www.divx.com/en/software/divx Use the DIVX converter, and chose 'HOME THEATRE' as the conversion method. Hey presto, the converted videos will happily play on this head unit. ***ENJOY***

George thanks for the informative video. I've just ordered the same unit and I'm thinking of adding HDMI through the aux input via a series of adapters that I saw in a RUclips video. I don't want to lose use of the microphone though. Does the microphone plug into a different port than the AUX in? Thanks.
It has its own 'Pioneer' input. You can only use the mic supplied in the box. AFAIK its a different size plug.
it work with iphone 6s (answer the phone) ?
Yes. I have used an iPhone 5s, and an iPhone 7. The head unit will answer the phone for you, after two rings. Also, with the iPhone 7 you can use siri to make calls. Pretty sure its the same setup on the 6s.

They're pretty good. Not had any problems using mine.
what kind of movie fil is your movies on your USB port? course i can`t make it work.????
It says it is a MP4 file, but then I have tried other MP4 files that don't work. Its all very hit and miss. Not the best support from Pioneer either, they just list the supported files. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Got the same radio but after switching off buttons display not switching off and still displaying red colour light even when i lock my car all night omg
You have the power lead (red one) connected to a permanent live feed. You need to connect it to a switched feed.
When i do that the radio dont want to turn on even When i start the engine
when i swap cables red and yellow the problem doesn't gone its still the same
btw at my seat altea permament and switched feed cables comes together in one cable from the car red/yellow cable
Time to get the auto electrician on the job I think... Good luck..!

Hi George, would this work if I wanted to watch music video's converted from RUclips in the format it requires? I have like 5 music videos in MOV, Avi, MPEG, MP4 but none of them work, it says unreadable file :(
I have the same problem. Some files play, and a lot don't. Must be something to do with the way Pioneer reads the format. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to it. If you find a definitive answer to the problem, I'd be glad to hear of it.

hello George, does the steering wheel control work? and does the USB extender fit properly?
Lost the steering wheel controls, sadly. Something to do with the Canbus, or so the fitter tells me. USB... I made a little hole at the back of the glove compartment, and shoved the lead through that. Works perfectly.

I use an iPhone with no problems at all. It does take ages to transfer the contacts list over though.

hello, i can't play video with this autoradio, what is the supported format?
If you read the manual, it tells you what formats it should read, but I've found its a bit temperamental as to what it does and does not like to read. All I can suggest is experiment a bit, and see what suits it.
I found the problem, the green cable (hand brake) must be to ground to unlock the video player (secutity with a message who lock player). The format is avi ou mp4 with divx encoder at 800*480
Oh yeah, I should have mentioned the green cable. You can't drive and watch, safety thing. Grounding the cable gets round that though.
It will play many video file formats, but I have found it is a bit picky what it will, and won't play. Just a case of experimenting a bit.

What was the device use when connected via USB? I would also like to watch top gear specials but it just says 'incompatible USB'?
These Pioneer units are famous, for not liking some makes of USB sticks. I use Sandisk ones, and they seem to work fine. I never use anything more than 8GB in size. Anything larger, and sometimes it struggles to read it properly.

How did you watch the video? Was it a mp4 file on a USB stick? Or did you burn it from a DVD?
MP4. on a USB. Saying that, I have other stuff that is MP4 and it won't read it. Very picky unit... lol
yeah i have a few jpeg images of cars on my USB and they wont display :( may I ask how you got the mp4 file onto your USB stick? Did you convert it from a website?
Hi George, How easy was this too install? I have had a GT and have 159 now and I would love to replace the stock unit with this. I am in Ireland too; would you recommend anyone to do it? Thanks.
Where abouts are you..? I'm near Carlow, and I got a mobile auto electrician to install it. Fairly easy replacement though, just need an extra cable. www.evolutionsounds.ie

€189 from Halfords, and I think the install was €100, but that included the surround bezel, and the connects2 patch lead. Stephen Gillespie, of evolutionsounds, ordered the extra stuff for me. Sound lad..!
Oh, and Stephen covers Dublin area as well.

Just red, but 'the background theme' on the screen has three colours. Blue red, or green.
FYI this is the CDE-W235BT, not the CDE-W265BT.

Bass is very good. They are also VERY loud. Dunno how close you'd want to be to them really, if you value your hearing.
How do you like the bass on them? And do they sound good up close too? Like on a desk for example..

Talk to the guys at steeltechsheds.ie They will do the whole thing, base as well, from start to finish. I laid the base before I got in touch with them, but I wish I'd done it the other way round. Would've been less hassle.
Thanks a lot for your detailed reply. I got great ammunition for my wife! Sounds like I could have a freezer in there without it rusting. Now I need a couple of good Polish guys in Killarney for the base as I ain't handy at all. Thanks again from a Scotsman in Kerry.
a) Very happy. Does exactly what I want it to do. b) Non-drip. You'd only need the Kingspan if you were planning to live in it. LOL c) Very dry indeed. Even in the cold weather. d) I have 12 electric outlets, and 3 double fluorescent tubes. e) The base worked out at around €1100. Nine cubic yards of 35nt concrete cost €900. The rest was labour. I got a friend with a digger to do the foundation, then him and his two mates assisted in the pouring of the concrete.

I'm almost ready to buy one of these and I wonder if you can tell me. a) Are you happy with it? b) Do you only have the non-drip insulation or the Kingspan? c) Is everything dry of condensation? d) Have you put electricity in? e) How much was your base? I'm getting quoted silly money for a 5 x 8 base. Pretty much the same price as the garage! Sorry for so many questions but money's tight and I want to make sure I'm spending it wisely.
