I'm just starting to get into music theory, love this deconstruction.

Yes, I've indeed played the flute for a few years, the most basic one. I know the notes and can read them. However, I'm practically a heavy amateur. When a person hears this music, or any classical music, they perceive its beauty in a comprehensive way. Then, when they see such a video (I'm glad someone takes the time to make this type of video) and observe the architecture of the composition, its complexity, the multitude of instruments and voices... the different instrument entries, at first glance it seems to a layman 'this can't be together' - it looks like chaos. But then, a person hears how perfect it is. It just leaves me in awe.

As someone that enjoys sight reading music in front of a piano whenever I can, thank you. Thank you for putting this together with my favorite movie. I feel it is the only way for people to comprehend how these geniuses throughout history would compose. Literally dictated by God.

I can't read music but had to teach a middle school music class. There were no lesson plans, so I decided to show this film which I had not seen in a while (not the director's cut which has nudity). I had to turn it off as I had forgotten about all of the cleavage-showing dresses. It wouldn't have been an issue in most other advanced countries, but Americans freak out over any skin.

I like it when Saglieri answers 'Oh yeah' meaning he believes in ethernal torment in hell knowing the Mozart is probably dying. It shows two possible motivations of this statement, besides the deep religiousity of Saglieri. 1. He wants Mozart to suffer the continuous fear of death, because he envies him talent. He both loves him and hates him, equally. 2. He believes actually HE is suffering this 'ethernal burning flames' of torment already on earth, as he permanently suffers from not enough talent, not so much as he wished, at least. He is a good musician as he instantly recognizes true genius in Mozart, but he can't create anything as good and as evergreen as his works. This creates in Saglieri ethernal flames of frustration.

Can you imagine being so gifted, so filled with music, that you cannot even rest while you are dying. That the music must come out. In its own way the music is killing Mozart
