You are an amazing young man. A very unique and dedicated type, so when someone tells you that you can do anything you want to and you will succeed, believe it. Usually thats blowin smoke up someone's you know what, but with you, it's the truth. I love watching your videos as does everyone. I was worried about what we would do when you graduate but thankfully you've already managed to be a drum major in college. SO COOL!!! Thanks for the entertainment and good luck in everything that you do. P.S. You are not "vanilla funk" just because you are white in a mostly black school. (Not that all the rest aren't so great and deserve everything good also.) But you are viral because you are a Badass at what you do.

Hey! I am just now coming into the high school drum major position, and as a white female in a predominately black school as well, I am very happy to say that you really inspired me to try out. We have the same style as your old band, which made me severely doubt if I could do it, seeing as how I'm not the most athletic person, haha. But going into my junior year, I feel very confident in my abilities. I got the head drum major position right off the bat after months of practice. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INSPIRING ME!! I really hope you had to submit this video for marking; because it's very much the highest distinction class of presentation. From the moment you tease us with the opening and hand us the word 'surreal' this is a lovely rollercoaster ride allowing the viewer into your life. Showing us how hectic it's been and how focussed you had to be to get through it all. Moreover it truly shows the love you have for your school family and how the marching band supported you and allowed you to reach heady heights. Congratulations on your choice of College. Well done on changing tack and not taking the easy way. I think you've gathered that the world is looking forward to what ever you can offer over the next, as you say, four to five years. We all wish you well. Get back to us when you can.
