I chose Alchemist for the achievement, because the scaling is really good towards the end of a run. You can boost your experience as soon as you get the "Refine" Talent. This will help you in the long run, because more experience = more levels = more Talents = more damage.
Other than that, focus on everything that increases Ability Power. There are Talents that increase your Ability Power whenever you learn an Alchemy Talent, based on the Combo Level, drops from enemies, or even collecting Ingredients.
