Wow... This is NOT encouraging. Halifax is facing bigger problems now than I've ever seen in my 40 years of voting. Yet, the "solutions" being put forward are so speculative and so poorly defined that I can't see that any of them will be any kind of a solution at all. This is disappointing.

None of these people inspires me in the slightest. All I'm hearing here are plans to set up committees, to streamline this or that. No one's dealing with the problem head on. And no one is trying to figure out what's causing this! For the money they want to spend on that bloody art gallery ($80 million), they could buy a building, staff it, and make it a turnaround center for people who are unhoused at this moment. It's not a matter of logistics; it's a matter of will. Halifax could also decide to build fewer f**king condos and, instead, build more affordable apartments. Everybody's concentrating on housing - i.e., single-family dwellings. The average person on the street is nowhere near being able to afford a f**king house! We need apartments - plenty of them, and soon! After watching this, I think I'll just spoil my ballot and get it the f**k over with! More of the same - "I feel your pain". These candidates are nowhere near what I would expect - and what we would need - to solve this problem.

Filmore would be a disaster. He did NOTHING for his constituents as a member of parliament. A lightweight who only did what he was told.

Great message

I love the connection between the swaddling clothes of the Christmas manger and the burial shroud of the Good Friday tomb. Both garments, meant to bind and comfort, applied by loving hands of friends and family. I have heard a Palm Sunday sermon from the perspective of the hard rocks on the road into Jerusalem; this begins to approach a Good Friday sermon from the perspective of the warp and weft of the cloth - a cloth ready to hold and comfort, absorbing the blood and spit, and trying to hold things together when the world seems to be falling apart. Thank you for these good words.
