Add solar panels facing North for better economics!

As you probably all know the best direction to aim solar panels is facing the South so they have maximum solar exposure. But if you have limited roof space the total economics are surprisingly good for panels facing different directions such as North. This is mainly caused by the difference in total costs vs additional costs. Lets first use the example of a house with a simple saddle roof facin...

Dynamic OC Switcher! Boost and Multicore OC with Ryzen overclocking

As you might have seen in some of my previous videos. There was always some tradeoff between different OC strategies with Ryzen overclocking. Per CCX overclocking for the best multicore performance. And PBO plus auto OC for the best single core performance. Now Asus has implemented a feature to dynamically switch between these modes; called “Dynamic OC switcher” They way it functions is to chec...

I'ts easier than you might think. Just create a DC charger that tells the car to charge with minus 3kW and the car will supply that to the CCS2 or NACS port no questions asked. ruclips.net/video/76iorkGaI_I/видео.html
What is with the warranty of the Tesla?
Where can one buy a V2L 230v 3 pin adaptor today got VW ID4 2022 model?
Interessant.
This was interesting, thanks for sharing.

I just installed 2000 Watt invertor 2kw, and it bricks the car from the capacitor loading if im not plugged into the charger? Disconnect the 12 volt batter and main 400 volt plug from under the back seat. Wait a few minutes, and it's an essy recovery. Im going to build a 1watt pre charger from a always on 12v relay and a 200 amp 12 volt relay to switch from one watt resistor to continously charge the capacitor then when waking up the 400v to 12 volt internal convertor switching the main power or 200 amp relay on and the 1watt off. What a pain in the ass when the car could have had a simple outlet for camping. Or at least do an OTA to get past the capacitor spike at start up. Maybe in the future, an invertor company will build this internally, and make it easy. Probably sell hundred thousand or more invertor kits. The ota update would be nice to keave the car awake while there is detected load from the invertor. Tesla coukd make small fortune on this accessories but there so worried yiu might not buy a tesla wall. I just want to use my induction cooker camping.
There currently is a kickstarter going for an inverter that takes high voltage DC power from the charging port. Maybe I should make a quick video about it.

No. Only on tesla with GB/T connector.
Agree!
You need to use the DC pins on the CCS, but you must have a protocol to communicate with the ECU to close the contactors allowing the connection to the DC pins. But also we must be sure vehicle wont shut off if it senses no charge or a discharge.
Yes that basically what this video is about. Which protocol do you need to talk of which part type and if Tesla allows this. I would not recommend uses the protocol to tell you are charging and this discharge over the DC pins. This could really confuse the BMS etc
Hello I'm kinda late :) But how can I enable PBO+Auto OC+200MHz at the same time?
I wonder, does the car cut the connection if the voltage on the DC connection falls below the battery aka, the current reverses?
I don't think the car measures any current. Probably if you trick the car that to enable the contactors (by faking charging) you can probably take out power out of the car. But the BMS might get confused.
we were pleasantly surprised to discover that it had vehicle-to-load (V2L) device for tesla,V2L will be a great tool during emergencies, if interested, see my page.
Thanks for this video. The presentation where Elon says " right we can just enable it through software update in Europe, right?", you can see the guy taken aback thinking how to respond with a no in the least embarrassing way for Elon lol. From his response it seems like, European models need powertrain upgrade before V2L can be done. US connector is out (for now). Chinese somehow allows this already.
Yes I had the same impression. But in the end it is mainly want about wanting support any form of V2L or V2H or not.
It's unfortunate that Tesla isn't clear on this topic. The LFP models would be ideal for this, and many cars spend a lot of time just parked at home and could double as solar batteries...🤔 My Model 3 is a Made in China model (bought in Germany) and there were some rumours that this model has V2H capability, but never anything official so nobody really knows.
@@rolandrohde Yes indeed, hard to figure out what is currently possible on which cars. It also does not help that the V2X standards for the different plugs are also still not clear.

quick question about the temps. when increasing clock speeds im noticing temps are going up past 90c not higher than 90.1c i believe thermal throttling is kicking in here on the 5950x. any way to get this down? i set the voltage to 1.3v and had it set to 4000MHz and temps started to rise. i was benching with Cinebench R23 was abble to get some goold multi scores around 27k but im not 100% sure how far i can push things.
Lower voltage, better cpu cooler, better thermal paste, higher fan speeds. These are a few options you can try.

@@analysingtech No problem bro, keep up the good work!!!
I'm wondering what the point of this is when I can't set different clock speeds for different cores. Setting best individual cores to 4.4 and weakest cores to 4.2 doesn't seem to work, and the weaker cores are all milling around at 3.5, instead of what I set them to.
I have the same problem too
Because all r5, r7, and r9 skus have more than one ccx. When you do an all core overclock, you're locked at whatever the worst ccx is on your chip. But, odds are (as shown in his graph), no two ccx's are the same. So, you should be able to tune one ccx higher than the other, increasing the overall performance vs a normal all core oc
Maybe my new video helps to explain this. You need to have all core in one CCX at the same speed for per CCX overclocking
@@analysingtech I know all of this. Quality of my 2 ccx's are about the same, but Ryzen master gives me the fancy star 'best core in system' / 'best core on ccx' etc. Doesn't seem like useful information when I can't do anything meaningful with the better cores.
@@allmybasketsinoneegg Totally agree, In my case the ones with the stars were not even the cores that were clocking the highest. Not sure why the cores are selected by AMD. Maybe they clock high enough for the specs and are slightly more efficient? But they definitely do not have the highest max frequency.

Whats with the loadline callibration on auto it won't be stable ?
Your voltage might sag a bit under load (not reaching the voltage that you set). But this is quite motherboard specific. I just use auto on my tomahawk B450 and it is ok.
My processor fluctuates around 1.2 to 1.45 V and some time it reaches 1.5 V ,just want to know is this normal also when the voltage increase the core speed fluctuates from 3.8 to 4.3 ghz in idle scenario . Just want to know is this normal or should I RMA the processor?????? Please could someone enlighten me with the findings
It's 3900x processor with x570 MSI gaming pro WiFi motherboard with latest bios
@@dubeyrajesh1 In my opinion you set to core voltage a bit to high. Pretty usual that the processor drops the frequency in idle. It is some kind of energy saing mode. you can set it to a fixed frequency, but it doest make much sense. The drop of the voltage is also a pretty normal behavior because of that. But 1.5 could be bit high. Reasonable to check your settings, load calibration, core voltage etc.
Just lock the Voltage at 1.28v

How do I know which is my good CCX
best way is to start with an a good base and all cores and then test the CCX max overclock one by one.

Help I'm confuse. So for example In ccd 0, if I set the core values of ccx 0, all core values must be the same? Meaning ccx 1 will be all be the same?
Yes per CCX they need to be all the same (otherwise the slower cores will run much slower). CCD does not make a difference. So for a 3600/3700/3800X you can have 2 different clock speeds 3900X you can have 4 different clock speeds
Hey, good to see someone trying to focus on CCX OC. Hope you plan on also doing some benchmarking in games. Its the main category zen2 needs to improve performance...in multicore workload its already on a different planet.
