i think it is just the recording, cant hear the bass guitar either, there are other pro shot videos of tortoise where the sound is good and microkorgs shine

And the "yeah right" remark to your own "'6 hour DJ set...?" So let me get this straight you've never heard/watched/listened/ to one person, one DJ do a set for 6 hours? I'm 47,( not that old right) started playing records "out" in the late 80's and have since played parties and club nights off and on since then and I'm not one to comment on music/videos on here but I saw your remark and thought...6 hour DJ Set? Well heck yes man...and along with that comes the 6 hour track/play list...I know right?
