I was not going to do a video of the VW Eurovan project, but then I decided that it is a must. This is my first time removing an engine and hoping to save me 10k by DYI the timing chains. Wish me luck and definitely subscribe, comment or advise. If I can do it, you can do it too!

Bringing you the LL Bean Cresta Boot on the Vibram 1327, Bifida which was installed by Dave Page. So far, they grip and work magic. It took about a week to soften the sole but it was well worth it.

Spotted this beauty when taking a walk. This is probably one of the best looking VW Westfalia I've seen in a long time. perhaps it got a paint job a while back, but it still shines in that deep metallic blue. True example.

Nice review! I've been looking for a review of this for the past two years. Yours is the first I've seen. If you're also wondering, the company's name is pronounced "Shnay's," like how you would pronounce the word "maze." I own a pair of Divide Mids myself. The company produces top-notch boots that are extremely comfortable with excellent customer service to boot-pun intended! 😁

Hi there, not sure I understand your question. Can you elaborate? The engine as said on my video is a 2.5 4 cylinders, im not sure how much of noise would such engine be categorized as.
Nice to see a video on these boots. I've been looking at them for over a year for use when backpack hunting tahr and chamois in New Zealand. They look like exactly what I want. 10" height and rigid shank with auto crampon compatibility. My only beef is that Schnee's RARELY have them on sale. Not even the current March madness sale. US$529 is a bucket load of money since I'm in Australia. US$/AU$ exchange rate make them an AU$800 boot! This doesn't include shipping either. They don't ship to Australia so I have to have them sent to someone in USA then have them send it to me in Australia, further adding to the cost. It's the price of living outside the center of the universe I guess. :(
So far hard to brake in but quite protective. I'm sure a pair of the regular granite would do the job. You have to look at American holidays, like "Black Friday" or the "day after thanksgiving" to get the PRO's on sale. As of right now, Schnee's online have the Granite and the Bearthooth for sale!. Contact them directly and see if they might be willing to ship to your country, I feel that If you offer to pay for the shipping I don't see a reason they would say no.

Hi, thank you but it's not for sale as of this moment. However, for the right price, we can change that. Where are you located?
the leather has barely any creases. what is the mileage on them? how did you manage to preserve the leather so well?
This are my personal. So, I clean them right after any extended hikes. I also dry them right away whenever expose to water and generally speaking I apply leather preservative at least once per month. Check out my other video, where I show how to apply preservative the easy way.
@@sflifeguard2555 yes, that all makes sense. but what I wonder about is the fact that there are no creases. do you use shoe-trees? what you described I doubt will save your boots from creases.
I do place thick socks towards the front of the boot when not in use, never had to invest in shoe-trees, that would be excessive for me.
