I believe Pudding is going to be a TOP DECK in the OP08 Meta! This deck had little success in the Japanese meta with RP Law running around. But now that hes gone Pudding can shine! What are you thoughts?

As requested, heres how I run a version of my Perona deck! I have my list in a video card tagged in the video if you want to see the full deck. I think perona is good, but its just not as consistent as Lucci or as impactful. Making it hard to control the board. Still, its a great deck!

Its crazy that the only thing holding Reiju back was how insanely busted RP Law was. Im glad to see this deck finally get to shine. The One Piece meta just got REAL interesting!! They decided to implement the ban list on Sept 6th!!! This is HUGE and means we wont have to suffer through RP Law shenanigans. This was a bold move but im sure RP law players are really in shambles now

RP Law has been terrorizing the meta for far too long and its finally gone! Wanted a few more changes but I suppose this ban list will do for now. Do you think this will shake up the meta or will Lucci become the new king?

Can’t you search for gecko in op09 ? There is like a new green perona with 2k that can search I think. That would make perona leader really strong

I copied the text so can read. Green Character Cost1 / Power2000 (Special) Counter1000 Muggy Kingdom / Thriller Bark Pirates [On Play] Look at 5 cards from the top of your deck; reveal up to 1 [Dracule Mihawk] or {Thriller Bark Pirates} type card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order and trash 1 card from your hand.

Does every card player other than my group have sever adhd cant stop touching moving and taping and shifting their cards
a part of my neurodivergence whenever I am passively moving or touching things it allows me to gather my thoughts better better. But from a content creator standpoint, movements keep the viewer engaged longer as there is always something happening.
@ControvxrsyTCG is that like a common thing people have its those almost exact hand movements I see a majority of the ppl at my lgs
@@shayed_6668 it depends. It’s kinda like hand play. I do see a lot of people do it, but it kinda depends. Personally I’ve seen just as many don’t lol
@ControvxrsyTCG hmmm ok ya ifk what it is but for me it's like the exact opposite I move my cards very little alot of times I look at them then set them down and just remember what I have and don't touch any thing ppl constantly moving and touching things makes ne anxious and then the anxiety irritates me lololol it's like a reverse of what I see going on around me
@shayed_6668 ya everyone is different lol. for me I've been playing cards for quite some time and it's just something that helps me focus oddly enough haba
I was just working on this deck today and here you are with another great video. Personally i like viola over edward. Viola feels too good for being a solid early game drop that resets your life and provides that blocker ability to live longer. The 5-6 drop feels like it absolutely needs to be Sunday or katakuri for the ramp.
ya I think viola is good, but not necessary. Only card I think id drop newgate for is sanji blocker

I like the list but you really don't need Gione, the deck can kill Nami fast enough and there never really is a great time to drop her. Swinging with the babies before you minus the don is too much pressure for them to handle
Thanks for the gameplay and commentary! I’m actually running the Sanji and Mihawk myself. Making Lucci find a way to reduce 2 big bodies puts them in a tight spot with out stage or even going sanji into boa/jinbe + warlord Do u feel the deck is better with Kaido instead?

I'm a perona navy+doffy pirates player, couldn't afford to revamp the whole thing for the samurai build, but getting this build makes it seem like it's also a ton of fun to pilot.

I like the idea of Law over Pudding, Pudding was good but also felt like an awkward play that while it helped you. It felt like you almost wasted a turn on a 4k 4c when you have limited don. I really do believe Kid Sanji is the play moving forward, it helps get you out of some situations and as this deck becomes more popular it really helps in the mirror keeping your Don less to shut them out of their effects. I have not tested Black Maria in here yet, but that seems like a whole different level of crazy.
ya Law just seems better than pudding in this deck. id honestly run him in Blue doffy if I could too lmao. Kid sanji is imo way good so I really wish i didnt remove it. Especially cuz of mirror and other purple matchups. But ya, black maria is fucking crazy in this deck lmfao
My partner and I have been working on her blue Doffy deck and I swear every time she plays the Pudding, I get at least 2 must-see cards in my new hand

After recording I realized that event is pretty insane actually lol. You can reduce their bodies down to 2 use event to buff character or leader and KO for 2 don. thats actually pretty nuts

I do this build but like including the 0 cost counter event due to sometimes having a more deadhand with blocker or any of the big bodies. Sucks to trash them, but can save you for a turn.
@RamenEatinPanda my goal is to either search or draw my counter and that seems to workout so far. also, you little guys are essentially pseudo blockers. because the opponent has to attack them. so that's times they aren't attacking your life

Perona is by far my favorite One Piece girl but I'm terrible at building decks since one piece is my first tcg. This list is definitely interesting and I'll be practicing it in the sim. The breakdown was great and I appreciate it

and why do you use Helmeppo over One Legged Soldier?
@Bompfe soldiers is good but sometimes you need to just grab ryuma with gecko instead of hyori. and if you get soldier you can't pop. I just find him more consistent. but him being a 2k is nice
how do you manage Lucci MatchUp? I have such big problems vs him - and it feels when he is not bricking and I can 3 or more Highdrops on him i Don't have a Chance.
@@Bompfe lucci can be very tough if they don't brick. I try and counter out early and control the board as much as possible. then issho really helps if you can hit a boss monster from their hand like gecko or issho. save ice age from their big drops and hang onto sabo for when you feel gecko is coming down. other than that, pray they don't see stage lmao

You should also look into Blocker Bartolomeo from 07. I speak with a lot of perona players, and we like to tech it in sometimes because of the card recycling, and you get the blocker on top of it.

I really like Bingo in the deck! Also, I’d say Stussy is super good. 1 card answer to 10c Kaido, Enel bosses, and even opponents Gecko

@Arc4s69 ya I think perona is in just about the same spot since gecko didn't get leader locked. might need kreig for kalgara tho and blue doffy
