Upgrading the Cow Water System with a Jobe Rojo 3/4" High Flow Water Valve
Where is as the identification part?
Yeah that would help also I need seals for the same cylinder
Have you tried using a cooking oil? I’ve heard that makes the process faster. Would there be any harm to the horse in trying it?
Those "handles" in the front are not handles but are adjustable legs so that tin kitchen sits firmly on your hearth slide them up and down. It's a trick to get a good bed of coals . keep stacking split "oven wood' against the back wall of the fireplace and you can build a wall of coals refecting into the oven When you do, your oven can go over 500..I never thought of hanging oven thermometer off the kitchen..learned something...Thanks
She is beautiful. And love the beard.
Fascinating. Very informative. Thanks for sharing. Much Blessings to you. 🙏 Lord-Jesus-Christ ✝c✝o✝m
Not just trees but other edible and medicinal perennials as well. With high yields, improving soil building, doesn't need any particular care to be resilient, no fertilizers required, extreme resilience against adverse weather conditions etc. Eventually it could just be harvesting, pruning and removal of wood for fuel. So much abundance. Aside from crops, there are seeds, cuttings, honey from bees, fungi and so much compost.
Do you know what part number you ordered. THANKS
Sorry I don't have the number. Just take a pair of calipers and measure the old seals or the ram and cylinder. inside diameters and outside diameters. That is what we did. No problem. Thanks.
@@firesteelfarm Thanks
Do happen to know the order # for that kit? I called seal and cylinder and they couldn't tell me which kit it was.
wrong tool, use a gator not a file , than scythe sharpening stones
Thanks for the video! I believe your on the right path. The more volume pushing and larger feed hose should increase the pressure. Possibly ibc totes and the lay flat hose off the tank to your quick connect? You got me thinking for sure!
I loved this especially the ending! Want more views? -> P-R-O-M-O-S-M!
Grandpa Tractors... Power full...has...ha
I have 4 x 5 plot that fruited 10 lbs over a 6 week period in the fall then another flush in the spring. Amazing growth. But I used grain spawn that grow.
Does it do well on wet soil ???
Ours grows in hard clay soil. We have a lot of dew because we are only a few miles off the shore of Lake Superior, so it gets lots of natural water, but the soil is dry. It could be different by you. You should get some seed and try it out. Let me know how it goes!
about apples a frind of mine tried it a few times. if a appel is self pollinating and from a large orchard it seems to be quiet true to tipe
And the bees love to "puddle" on manure too!!!!
Interesting info. Do you know about white Tansy? I have a plant the birds brought me that I've been told is White Tansy. But it looks more like yarrow to me. But the leaves are very large and soft. Beautiful scent though.
I am not aware of a white tansy, but that doesn't mean there isn't one! Everything by us is yellow. Yarrow has a leaf that is more like a light fern, more delicate than a tansy leaf. But again, it could look slightly different depending on where it is growing.
A couple good tips thx. What type of wood chips did you use? Hardwood?
Thanks for checking in. The wood chips we actually from a pile at the Department of Public works. So it is anyone's guess. Being composed of local city branches I think it is safe to assume yes, hardwoods. a variety of them. Though if I recall correctly they are tolerant of conifer chips at the very least being mixed in. Hemlock in particular. Check out Mycelium Running. Thanks again.
Thx! Yep, already checked mycelium running, thx again
This was a useful review. It actually convinced me to buy this book.
Thanks for the review. I hope this book enriches your life as much as it has ours.
‘Orientate’ is not a word.
Will there be a follow up video to this?
Thank you for touching base. We will be doing more mushroom videos for sure. we are waiting on our first real crop of shiitake mushrooms right now and as far as the Garden Giant/Wine Cap/Stropharia Rugosoannulata mushroom, we harvested and dehydrated about two gallons from that little patch last year. That patch started as a "stem butt" planted in the ground, in the right spot of course. Paul Stamets book Mycelium Running will tell you everything. I believe he processed his septic field waste water with this mushroom as it feeds on anaerobic bacteria, especially e coli. Please feel free to give us a shout any time. We love sharing knowledge we have learned from the best teachers we can find. Thanks again.
Curious how well that worked if its in leaf
There were a few leaves last year, and we are still too early in the season for leaves this year. I do expect it to do well because of how they looked last year. Can't wait to see the leaf buds start!
Just found some yellow trillium on our property. Pretty neat. I hope the dear don't eat them all. I noticed some didn't have flowers.
Yellow would be nice! Ours are all either white or pink. I have heard of deer eating the blossoms, but have never seen it happen.
How about a 12v water pump with a mechanical pressure switch
That's a good idea. We do try to improve our systems every year. Looking to do an electrical upgrade, as you have stated, or maybe a 500 gal. tank with a 1.25" hose and valve. thanks for the comment.
Many thanks
Great video man. I’ve got the same rams on my wd9 trip bucket loader for my wd45. Good info on the valve adjustments I’m sure many newbies will find that helpful.
Nice! It is hard to find a WD45 with a bucket. Always helpful around the farm!
It is a great use for that, and I immediately thought that when I was looking at mine in the store before I bought it, but I use my brush cutter with a mulching blade for that exact purpose. Have you ever thought about a weed wacker with a mulching blade? That is the ticket imo. I use this pole hedge trimmer for all kinds of stuff on my land though.
It definitely works better on some things than others. It is great on thicker stemmed plants like milkweed, golden rod, and bracken. Not so great on grasses. I do like the large swath I can cut in one pass. We have not tried a mulching blade yet. Thanks for watching!
I just bought the exact no9 but regular gear it was barn kept but the fires are dry rotten as well. Hoping to find out more information on it
That was a BIG bird for that Tin Kitchen. When you opened the carcase between the breast and the thigh, I had visions of the leg and thigh flopping against the outside of the appliance as the joints loosened up. (Happened to me in rotisserie cooking.) Once the incisions were made, you could also have tied the legs together behind the cavity to make a more compact package. Heat still would have penetrated between the breast and thigh meat. Things seemed to have worked out very well in the end. The texture of the breast meat looked phenomenal. To my eyes, the thigh meat was also perfectly cooked (as seen when the meat was on the platter.) Thanks for showing how this iconic device works! I have traditional English cookbooks that call the appliance a 'hastener.' Photo plates show it being used with a vertical basket of coals, bringing a wall of heat to bear on the joint or bird.
Thanks for the suggestion! We subsequently cooked 2 chickens and trussed both of them. The tin kitchen is lots of fun to use and makes the cooking time even more enjoyable. I was surprised to see the tin kitchen cook the meat in the same amount of time as an oven.
💗👍thank you
Our pleasure!
Thanks for sharing! Brings back wonderful memories!
Looks amazing Collen! Bet it tasted amazing too!
Sure did! Super moist and tender!
Man, looked like fun! Wish I was in the sled! Great job! Awesome video!
thx mate good video
This is awesome Collen! Now I am hungry!
Great job ! Too bad your father-in-law didn't do it years ago!
I appreciate the warning about attempting it yourself, and it was very interesting to watch!
That is a huge horse! Looks like fun! Good job!
It is a lot of fun!
So precious!!
Thanks! He is so smart for only being 4!
This has been my favorite so far!!!!
Thank you. it was fun to scratch all the parts up and get creative.
I have a 1958 wd45 .its blowing black smoke outbfrom the oil breather .any ideas ?
I am an amateur mechanic at best, but the first thing that comes to mind is blow by passing wore out piston rings or cylinder(s). The black smoke would be the oil passing from the crank case and burning up with the fuel/air mixture then passing back past the wore out rings and escaping out the oil breather. That would be my best guess. Engine rebuild kits are pretty easy to find. We generally purchase our parts from Steinerrtractor.com
Use clothes line rope for your packing I have the same tractor it working great and your black smoke is fuel too rich
Formula: 1. Sand. 2. Clay. 3. Cow Manure. I understand "sand." I understand "Cow Manure." Clay? What kind of clay? Where did you get it? Clay as in "dirt clay"? I wish to make my own as well.
Thanks for your interest! Where we live there is lots of clay in the ground, so we just dug some up. Ours is a red clay, but I would suggest to use whatever you have access to.
I need support! My book is always free on my website. If your looking for something different, then you MUST read my novel. Download it free at untamedthenovel.webs.com. Please review it!
Love your videos guys! Keep them coming!😉 Michelle
Thanks! We are trying to get a couple up every week, and appreciate the feedback!
Put a yoke on one of those cows and let him pull that wood out for you. DB
