Nintendo has tried to buy the IP twice of this game. I bet you three bucks Nintendo ends up owning it. Whenever a racing game comes to an end, Nintendo always try to save it.

I think the new version collected all the players because it's money system is more friendly to new players. Also in the Nintendo addition, they pretty much just give you free cars every 3 months

I used to play asphalt 8 when i was so young, all the songs so nostalgic, i still remember setting the radio to bass all the time. i really miss the good ol lobby next to the sea

i redownloaded it and hated that it had girls wadafuk also its too overwhelming because there is literally too much on the screen, and dont even start with the amount of ads

I installed the game this week after 3 years and noticed the same issue the currency is of so many types making any new player having a tough time to get any car plus most of the interesting cars are gone including the best car i got Ferrari fxx evoluzine I was extremely obsessive about this game now its totally trash not the gameplay but the ecosystem for it is unrecognisable

I recently reinstalled this game after years of not playing it. It's completely unrecognizable. Ads everywhere, cars impossible to obtain, rewards and credits that serve practically no purpose; the experience itself is crap. It's very sad how it fell out of favor. I first discovered it back in 2015, and it was amazing. I had it on a tablet and on the computer. I kept playing it with my brother. But due to a mistake on their part, I lost all my progress and it became too complicated to try again and I deleted it. Today I don't regret deleting it.

The last I'm playing a8 was like 2018 maybe, I have a lot of cars that I upgraded to the max. Like camaro, spider and others. But when covid outbreak I install again. Why my account don't have anything.. It's like reset my account? But my coin still there in my account.

Crazy they added female avatars… what a disgrace

The addition of a new mental-asylum-like garage, gambling for all, and 18+ styled avatars turned the once nostalgic game I used to play in my childhood, into a cash-cow, inappropriate, pile of garbage. 👎👎 Improvise, Gameloft!! 😡

This is why I quit playing A8 1 the 1v1 races the tracks were two laps now it's only one lap in every track 2 every car costs tokens now 3 the festivals are always the same new cars premium Useless cars free once thee was a free car at 50 tier 4 cars swapping classes (like the bmw m2 it was class c and how it's class d) 5 with the new shop you have to spend real money to get that currency to unlock your favorite cars And for last 6 lag

The Apple Arcade version of this game is way better, no micro transactions means every car is unlockable by playing and you just have to grind.

played A8 in late 2014, returned in mid 2018(noticed a couple of cars with different currency, oh yeah 3 new races at the bottom of each season if i remembered correctly), made like 3 videos of A8 since it had its own recorder back then, i came back last month and my goodness it's no longer the same, some of the og cars are gone so i can't do those required car races, upgrading is a pain in the *** now, can't even upgrade when you're offline now, so many cars currency has changed to tokens or others, sadly i use my icloud back then so i lost my progress

I stopped playing this game after the update where they added the great wall they did a multiplayer revamp and added a new currency iirc and I just stopped caring The grinding and fun of replaying races also continued to get nerfed over the years and multiplayer was the only consistent way to get credits but it was obviously pay to win to even get those credits and the ranked brackets were flawed Another sad thing is you cannot mod this game to fix the tuning issues if you just want to play the game to have fun they hardcoded it

Asphalt is top racing car mobile game when i check on website which i search top one racing car mobile game. Also is my childhood game, i ever play oldest one which using phone not smartphone or touchscreen phone. Same as Nokia but new one. This nostalgia hit me so hard🥹

Used to play this game a ton, man... on an old Lenovo laptop that was supposed to be for school. It came pre-installed, so I spent many hours on that game. It was a tough game to master, but it used to be a lot friendlier to beginners. I never wanted to install Asphalt 9 because I loved Airborne, but I guess I should give it a shot at one point. Now I want to go back and play it again, even though it totally became a pay-to-win scheme and punished me for simply being younger. I miss my DS Survolt...

I remember getting the carrot king McLaren X2 at a really low car rank, grinded so hard, played so well and cherished each of the formula championships - still got videos of those last few super challengers. I remember the stress and the anticipation of finally beating it for the McLaren mp4-31 after failing it before, I remember doing the same thing and planning and preparing for revenge on the Apollo IE at a super good rank. God this game used to be so fun and challenging and now it’s just these garbage copy paste cars and a million ads
