Добавлен 3 мар 2020
Hi I'm Wayne!, Off the beaten track explorer, amateur forager, camper, hiker, nature lover, documenting my journeys out in nature.
mountain stream camp checking out the nordisk oppland 2
got a new nordisk oppland 2 to try out, planning some multi day trips so wanted a little more space to live in while out in the wilderness, found the oppland 2 on sale so bagged it, me and the pooch headed off up to the mountain stream for a test night out and a good look around it, its a pretty cool tent to be fair with a ton of room. enjoy!

I hope you haven’t stopped posting. You are very underrated Wayne.
@@danielscott1040 I'm giving it a break buddy, I gave myself 12 months to see how it went but carried on hoping to get some traction, people obviously don't like my content and the genre is saturated with creators much better than me. It's so disheartening when you put so much effort in behind the scenes and hours of work for hardly no views or engagement. I'm still doing exactly the same but not filming, I've done multiple camps since my last video and I'm out exploring all the time,. I might slap the odd video on now and again but won't be posting regularly it's not worth the effort,. I appreciate you and everyone els that's stuck with me but times precious and I don't want to waste mine chasing something il never achieve.. 🙏✌️🙏✌️
@ well, my family and I certainly appreciated you taking us along on your adventures and all the countless hours of filming and editing you did. I wish you nothing but the best, and respect your decision. Peace and happiness brother.
@@danielscott1040 thank you soo much man!, I appreciate you for sticking with me and coming along on the journey, sorry it didn't work out😔, maybe doing stupid prank videos would of been better 🤣, all the best bud! ✌️✌️
Is this the PU version? or the SI?
@@steviesteve750 it's the pu version, better seams in my opinion, if you don't mind the weight I'd suggest the pu but the si is definitely lighter but will need sealing and there's a big price difference. Honestly I don't care if rain beads off the outside, I care about staying dry inside lol, it's personal preference tho ✌️✌️
@waynegexplores8069 the issue for the PU version is the weight. I'm going to use it for multi day hikes, and 3kg is the max I'd want to go to. I've also struggled to find the footprint
@steviesteve750 yeh it's heavy for backpacking, I use it for multi day camps but I've had to sacrifice on some luxuries and lighten my load in other areas to counter the weight, it's definitely an awesome tent, I use this instead of my abisko light, love the space and somewhere to sit in a storm instead of having to just lay in your sleeping bag lol, you can get the footprint for it, if your in the UK check out absolutesnow.co.uk pretty sure there on there. I've managed without one so far but definitely need to purchase one at some point. 👍🏻
Fantastic vid...love the russel.. Miss my old russel. Im looking at this tent...and didnt know you cud fold the front door back. Thanks...😊
@@NotASheep100 thanks! 🙏, yeh she's a good dog most of the time lol, she acts all big and hard but she's soft as a brush lol, typical jack. Yeh it's a great design to be fair, it give you somewhere to sit out the rain and still get a view, there's tons of room aswell, I think it's my new favourite tent. ✌️✌️
Witzig und süß gleichzeitig❤
That spot was absolutely stunning! The views up there, with the broad panorama, wow what a treat to the eye.
@@danielscott1040 thanks for watching bro! 🙏,yeh it's definitely a special spot, the views around there are breathtaking for sure. ✌️
Gorgeous, and I dig the music choice.
@@danielscott1040 cheers dude!, absolutely stunning spot, will be dropping the video Sunday ✌️🌞✌️
Nice one bro
Thats a cracking tent,i bought one a few days ago,was between that and the fjallraven abisko but glad i chose the nordisk. Had it uo in the garden but yet to use it. I put a tarp under the groundsheet of all my tents to make them last longer.👍 Thanks for sharing, gave you a sub..
@@brianmercer2805 cheers bud✌️ it is/was a gem of a tent but be warned the corner poles will pop out the seam, I had mine 8 months and two of them popped out, I did attempt to repair them but it didn't work, not sure if it was just mine or weather it's an issue with them,,. I ended up getting the abisko and love it, it's definitely a massive price difference but the quality of it speaks for it's self, it seems bomb proof at the moment anyway lol, time will tell🤞,. Thanks for watching man! Appreciate the sub, welcome 🙏✌️✌️ p.s let me know how you get on with the telemark bro 🙏
@@waynegexplores8069 Thanks for the heads up on that ill need to keep an aye on that! Abisko looked decent too👍
@@brianmercer2805 I did look at the oppland by nordisk when my telemark broke, that looks a awesome tent but it's a bit to big for me, I like stealthy lol, Im pretty sure you can get a tarp that's designed for the telemark now?.. Yeh just don't over tention the corners is my advice. ✌️🙏
@@waynegexplores8069 if my poles pop out it will be going back mate, thats poor after 8 months. Ill check that one out👍
@@waynegexplores8069 i like a tarp and bivvy camp too, just purchased the dutch dpm hooped bivvy. I had the one without the hoop but its a nightmare getting in and out of🤣
Nice 1, new subscriber here 👌
@@themunrobagger thanks for watching buddy and welcome!🙏, Appreciate the support!✌️✌️
Beautiful scenery as usual! I'm sure both you and the pooch enjoyed 🌲
@@HillfortLady thank you! 🙂, yes we always enjoy being out in nature, especially when we can catch a stunning sunrise, thanks for watching! ✌️🙏
Can’t wait to do my first one
@@TerryGirdler the first one is always a bit daunting, especially if your on your own but trust me there's nothing to worry about, you'll love it I'm sure!, hope you have a great adventure man ✌️🙏
Wet and wild that one mate
@@DanRoden-i9z definitely a soggy one bud, wouldn't think it was mid summer aye lol.
The weather seems to change so quickly where you live. Thanks for sharing another adventure with us.
@@danielscott1040 yeh it's one extreme to the next in these parts lol, we haven't had much of a summer this year so far that's for sure.. Thanks for watching and showing your support dude. ✌️✌️

Thank you buddy! Appreciate the kind words👍🏻, thanks for watching man! 🙏✌️
Stunning location mate, great little exlore
Cheers bud! 🙏✌️
@@waynegexplores8069 very jealous, like the moss bed you’ve put down on the camp looking forward to that developing
I'm hoping the moss beds in and grows nice and thick instead of drying out, the weather's making it work so far lol, I'll be up there this week coming to spend a day or two on it ready for another Bush camp on Friday, need to get the framework finished and the walls built, be snug as a bug in there then lol 👌, ✌️
Great spot mate, missed opportunity for a fish supper, I loved that little sheep so cute, thanks for bringing us along
Cheers bud!, yeh I was gutted I didn't have the rod in the van lol, the trout were jumping all evening, there's always next time tho🤞,. Them sheep were so tame lol they did get pretty annoying after a while tho lol,. Thanks for watching dude!, appreciate it! 🤙✌️
That sudden moment of stillness was a bit crazy! What a beautiful spot though. Thanks for taking us along sir.
Yeh it was weird and sudden, peaceful night to be fair,. Sorry it wasn't the most exciting video, had to try the new tent out before the proper camps so thought I'd drop a little vid for you guys, thanks for watching dude and being a regular! Appreciate it man! ✌️🙏🤙✌️
Such an incredible camping experience. This is beyond beautiful!
Cheers buddy! 🙏✌️
4:43 amazing view! Great vid as always 👍 will be doing my first camping of the year next month. 🙂
Cheers bud! 🙏 It was a beauty of an evening to be fair, shame I had to get up and go otherwise I would of done another night, will definitely pitch up there again,. Ah nice man! Hope you enjoy getting out🌞👌, ✌️
Skylarks sound happy up there.
Great video mate love them paragliders 👍
Cheers bud! 🙏✌️
Great video Wayne, so glad you’ve started on your camp such a great location, loads of available wood about as well , exciting stuff, looking forward to seeing it develop
Cheers man! the next stage will be collecting wood and starting to build ect, it's going to take a little while to get it right but Rome wasn't built in a day.. Thanks for watching dude! ✌️🙏
@@waynegexplores8069I’m looking forward to it coming along, very jealous in a way, good luck it’s going to be awesome
What a beautiful place
Thanks, it's a very peaceful place for me. 🙏✌️
Great video mate 👍
Thank you! 🙏✌️
Awesome campsite bro
Cheers dude!, it's a working progress,🤞will be tidy as when it's finished.🙏
the cowboy is awesome :D
Great little camp spot with loads of potential, can’t beat the woodlands dogs love it, thanks for the video
Cheers dude!, yeh I'm going to spend a couple of days up there the end of the week and make it a bit more of a permanent spot, going to dig a nice level platform and tidy it up a bit, maybe start building some structures aswell,, it's well out the way and deep in so it's perfect!,. Thanks for watching man! 🙏✌️
@@waynegexplores8069 mate that will be amazing your lucky to have such a spot make the most of it, keep up with the vids progress wise
I’ve done that before forgot where I’ve put my cameras so you’re not the only one nice footage 👍
Yeh I've done it a few times lol, thanks for watching! ✌️🙏
Great video.. love woodland camping, the sounds early doors are amazing
Thank you!🙏.. Yeh dawn chorus is beautiful, the woods come alive👌
Beautiful work! I loved the camp side kitchen and table.
Cheers!✌️Thanks for watching buddy🙏
Promo`SM 👍
Well done. You really took us there with this one, and that glider capture was a complete surprise!
Cheers bud✌️ yeh them gliders were great to sit and watch, bet the views were amazing from up there 👌
Beautiful scenery 😁
Thanks dude! 🙏
Nice video! Tent seems to be great and the company also 😁
Cheers buddy ✌️, yeh I love this tent, not much head room but awesome for stealthy wild camps🙏
@@waynegexplores8069 I think this would be perfect for me as I am only 173cm 😁. Lobe the features for example the doors that you can open with the poles to provide nice protection while cooking outside etc, and the fact that it is PU, so no saggy flysheets during rain..
There's plenty of room inside, I'm 6ft2 and I've got at least 8 to 10 inches top and bottom and there's plenty os space for my bag ect. I definitely recommend this tent, it's solid, well designed and so far it's been bulletproof, and it's tarp friendly so you could make a nice area for cooking and chilling out if you wanted.
@@waynegexplores8069 Thanks for the replies, now I just need to find some money somewhere 😆
good job
Hello sir where are we today?
Sup bro✌️ I was nestled away on the edge of the brecon beacons/ black mountains, my local stomping ground.
Looks like a spot where the weather could change really quickly.
It Definitely is but on the plus side you can see it coming.✌️
Happy Easter brother.
Cheers dude! 🙏
Good views from the campsite
Yeh it's a beautiful little spot when the weather's right, alot of low laying cloud rolling through so the views weren't as good as they could of been but I'll take it tho!👌 And it actually stayed dry for once hehe!, ✌️🙏
Great video!
Thank you! ✌️
A great capture Wayne! What a handsome animal.
Thanks man!🙏, he sure is a handsome chap, only a couple of years old I'd say?. ✌️
Awesome 🦌😁
I loved that walk away edit at the end!
Love it when she runs. Cool perspective. Dogs are awesome I have a french bulldog. 👍
She's like a whippet lol, thanks for watching 🙏✌️,, Frenchies are awesome, proper little characters👍🏻
Another quality video Wayne. Thanks for bringing us along Roxy!
Thanks for watching man! ✌️🙏
I could almost feel myself hopping over all those fallen trees!! she has so much energy and took us for a fun hike. No nonstop talking and staring at someone's face you actually get to see the woods. perfect video. 👍👍
Thank you for your kind words and for watching✌️🙏,, she's definitely full of energy and loves the woods especially when she can run free. 🙏
love it
Thanks for watching ✌️✌️
Lovely video! I’ve enjoyed your camping adventures. I’d like to say your edits and variety of camera angles are getting great.
