My Inline Fly Adapters let me cast my Musky and Pike flies with my bait casters, they also add a lot of turbulence to the presentation, I also use them with glide baits when I want to add weight and flash to the presentation in murky water conditions like on this day.

Very cool man. What kind of feathers do you use In the tail?
Thank you, I use grizzly saddle feathers.
That is some great tying Paul!
Thank you Dirk
Nice chatch Paul. Cheers 🍻✌️
Thanks Mike, cheers 🍻
Good idea! I'll put a trolling motor to my kayak .A rectangle aluminum tube could be good too
@@joseluiscuevas4699 yes it can 👍, may be lighter weight and better looking as well.
Awesome video and catch! I’ll be subscribing
@@Michigananglingadventures thanks a lot
I would die on it 😂

Thanks Ben
Nice lil musky brother. Hope all is well your way 🥷
@@jackthwaites2894 thanks Jack, everything is good, hope all is good with you as well brother 🍻
What size battery did you have on your kayak
I was using a 55ah lithium but once I switched to a bigger trolling motor I went with a 100ah
Did you have to put a counter weight or outrigger on it?
I did not but for my heavier haswing motor I did use the battery as a counterweight
Just got mine I noticed the 1.0/12v doesn’t use a safety lanyard
Yes, it’s definitely not the safest trolling motor but it has been working well for me on the kayak and on my 14’ Jon boat.
A ziptie maybe?
@@jeremiahmartin5056 I used a thicker size wire to add a little extra theft security and it can be removed when needed if I swap motors.
Very nice build my friend
@@Call_Frank_not_the_bank thank you Frank 🙂
Looks awesome, Paul!🎣🤘🏻
Thank you Alex 🤘
A four years old yak is better than no yak. Main thing it works. Cheers Paul 🍻🛶🎣
@@pikemike1323 thanks Mike, cheers bro 🍻
Wow! That’s amazing! Didn’t even look like you were moving.
@@Nate112Athanks Nate, I love the river 😃
Old indian Trick , lol
How long does the battery last you, oh and what size battery
I had a 55 ah that lasted about 6 hours of run time, now I have a 100 ah and a bigger/faster motor and I’m good all day.
I’m about to do the side mount setup. I was originally very hesitant because everyone says steering sucks but I feel it would be great for fishing compared to my paddles lol
It’s all just preference, I go miles up and down river hands and feet free sometimes when I’m making a long move, it tracks great for me.
Fire Perch!
Thank you!
Nice simple set up man. I have a lot more stuff to deal with on my kayak. Rudder controls, outriggers, and over all weight. So I'm using 1" aluminum tube on top of some wooden blocks to clear things. Still waiting for a couple of items but can't wait to have power. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, it’s all just preference 🙂
Nice ! Thx for the info!
sicko!
Great idea! How/where did you get the Watersnake nylon transom bracket? It seems as though you have to either purchase the kayak mount model and then upgrade to the transom bracket--or purchase the transom mount model and then upgrade to the steering extension.
Thank you, I had both models since the original model had broken, I just transferred over the extension handle onto the transom model. I do have a new motor I’m using now that is a bit more durable and faster although it is a bit heavier as well.
These protuars are loud I wonder whyy
Electric trolling motors are not that loud, it’s the prop making most of the noise when high up in the water column, I lower it much deeper when in deep water or lake fishing but most rivers I fish are less than a foot in some spots during the summer and fall seasons.
Can you please inform about battery consumption? how many hours does it get drained at medium speed (55amp battery)?
I would say on medium speed it would last around 4 hours of constant use, I upgraded to a 100ah lithium battery and haven’t drained it fully in one day on the river covering about 4 miles give or take and fishing 8 hours or so.
Stay huge bud, been following you on IG and YT. Love your content
Thanks a lot Dirk
Great video buddy, I'll be doing this later in the year 👍🏻
Thank you
When I’m running with a trolling motor on my canoe I lock it straight and steer with a paddle. Works for me. Good Video!
Thank you, that’s a good idea because sometimes when I go off track I can recover with my paddle rather than moving the motor. I’ll try that next time out 👍.
Hoping you still get notifications for this video. Awesome idea with the mount. I curious what seat that is. It looks very comfortable.
Thank you, the seat is the feel free gravity seat, actually it’s not so comfortable as the padding is very thin, I have been meaning to add some padding under the seat cover but the back rest is very comfortable especially when moving from spot to spot or going far distances. It’s also adjustable so you can set the height to your preference but I’ve had the nuts come loose on me and the seat collapse multiple times which was no fun haha. I just tightened the nuts down fully which locks the seat from being adjustable by hand like it is meant to be but that doesn’t bother me, I keep it in the same position.
Any idea about how often the motor itself internally should be maintained?
I don’t, I’ve been using it a lot for about a year now with no problems.
Nice set up buddy.
Thank you
Take me back to the good old days bro!
What happened to water snake old faithful
They are good motors for the price although I did need something faster and more durable.
this made me more confident in my readings, thank you! ive been fishing for 3 days straight using a little spoon, your readings helped me understand that I managed to attract 2 pike in those 3 days and both of them decided to not take the bait, it was fun seeing them run away in real time. the wave they made made my heart skip a beat hahaha
I’m glad the video helped, they sure do make the heart beat faster when you see something approaching out of nowhere haha 🤘
I live in Wauconda and work in Mundelein. I have been everywhere but the Northern DesPlaines. Is there alot of blockages and downed trees on it? What is a good put in/take out? Thank you
I drop in at independence grove sometimes but I live way south so usually I’m dropping in at Kingery hwy by the waste water treatment plant. There is also a boat launch there.
Thing hit hard, eh? So sick! I tried pike fishing on the fly this year and got one first cast 😂( see ‘Pike on the fly’ video). Didn’t do it again after that though.. had a 5 wt rod and it just didn’t have enough backbone to toss a weighted big ol’ pike fly. What’s a carp fly?
Thanks man, dirty carp fly is a pike fly I make that imitates a baby carp.
@@StatesideFishing oh ok nice!
What’s your seat bro? Looks like a Lazy Boy 😂
Good to see you fishin again 😊
Thank you Ron
Is there a kill switch if you fall while running or is there a diff. technique?
There is not, the motor does shut off on impact.
Great video, so it looks like you really have to install it close to your seat so you can have access to all the controls.
It depends on the motor you have, on my new setup it’s further back, thanks for watching.
Should have made him do a backflip 💀💀💀
What is the top speed?
It’s 5-6mph depending on current and wind
Tyskie Tyskie ponad wszystkie :)
Zdrowie haha 🍺
If you have the 100 light blue and the50 light blue and the 20 light red what does it mean
It shows you know how much battery life you have remaining, 100% 50% 20% 👍
Wish we could do it all over again!!!
All we need is a F4i, they’re probably 600 dollars now fully setup lol
