I would respectfully disagree with your premise. This September I purchased a x739. This is my third 4wheel steer mower and I would not have anything else. 4wheel steer is a superior experience!

I just got mine here in Wisconsin and was wondering how you store it. I have stabil mixed into my gas can but do you drain the gas out of the thumb valve you showed or do you just turn gas line off or do you run it dry before storage?

Enjoyed this video. Deere's garden tractors are great I had a 317 from new for 40 yrs. Used for mowing, cart use for garden, Cyclone rake vacuum. For snow, Ariens SHO 28 snow blower walk behind. In 2020, considered X700 series for replacement, and faced the choice of preferably X758, or 1025R. Cost was similar. Went with 1025R with bucket, & the included 3 pt hitch & PTO. I needed the benefit of less lugging mower deck on & off, and the hydraulic assist of Load & Go for mower and loader quick attach 60"plow. At 75 yo, I needed easier implement changeovers with the drive over 54" deck. and easier snow clearing on 300 ft driveway; bucket replaced most of my wheelbarrow work. Modified Cyclone Rake with longer hose, added Fimco 3pt attached electric spreader, have Heavy Hitch weight brackets for ballast. Don't have any PTO implements. A little more clearance under 1025R for some tasks in woods. But the 758 would likely have suited. But no regrets. First diesel piece of machinery=- works great for me at this stage

Thanks for the info , I got a Fusion 1800 because I have it in my other rigs, which meant I needed a new radio, went with the gt5, used your video to set it up. I’m not a techie guy , but this made things super easy to set up, this is how the Capra should have came out of the box, NOT cheap here in Canada !!!

I have a 928 that I bought in 1993. Not a typo! Have made the normal repairs, belts, a few cables etc. Lives outside with the honda cover. In Montreal winters - still starts on 1 or 2 pulls. You will be very happy!

Installed this motor yesterday. I know everyone says it but gah the low end torque is ridiculous. I'd buy it again and again.

Was it a clanking, like steel on steel? Or just the wobbling like you said. I can't figure mine out. Definitely better with snow in it. Everything is tight. I mean I'm thinking I bent something. Auger looks like it spins level, balanced.. & so does impeller

Aha, I had the same breakage when I shaved down the link mount when I dropped in the Hobbywing Fusion SE. Weakened the crap out of the connection point and it broke on a bad fall. I replaced it with a PETG 3d printed skid (where I was forced to remove the dig servo) and then _that_ broke when I got into a bind. Finally gave up on all the hackery and went with the Vader skid as well - should get here on Wednesday. Plus I can put my dig servo back in! Looking forward to the upgrade.

Subbed and liked!! When I did my skid n my sporty Capra build and it didn’t work. Move up link mount on chassis side. Those skids do suck. Can’t beat the fusion!

Correction! The sheer pins are not there to protect the auger blades from bending but are there to protect the auger transmission brass worm gear. Also Do not go bigger or smaller on the sheer pins. Replace with OEM and replace both of them. Don’t forget to grease the auger shafts! If the auger rusts to the shaft the shear pins are non functional and you will destroy the brass worm gear. One last thing! Pull the wheels and anti-Seize the axle shafts every season! If the wheel hubs rust to the axle the only thing that you’re able to replace are the belts! 😀

I've had this thing 10 years and just discovered that you can adjust the tension pulley... Problem I'm having now is the impeller shaft/pulley moves a lot and contacts the tensioner pulley arm and sparks. I can't figure out how to fix the slop

its good to have a reference for how far that external lever that connects to the cable should move - not much at all. thanks!

Can you confirm on how many gallons your fuel tank is on your generator Harbor Freight is stating that this is a 8 gallon tank on this generator but I believe it's more of a 7 gallon or maybe even a 6 but not an eight because I'm looking for a replacement tank for mine and all I see is 6 and 7 gallon tanks not 8 gallon so I think it was a marketing a sales pitch does the advertised on the box that it was a 8 gallon

Great review, I have a cub cadet that attaches to my tractor. It’s a belt drive, I live in the Buffalo area. The Cub blower is junk, belt slips and burns. I think this is the tank for me! Thanks!!

I’m currently upgrading my Capra I have it taken apart & have the Vader skid ready to install I have the Fusion to install so I went with the Vader skid to get it in correctly. This seems like it’s going to be a great upgrade. I’ve had my Capra for quite along time but have not done anything to it other then a Reefs front servo & metal beadlocks so it was tie to update it. I have 2.2 wheels & tires overdrive gears & 90 mm Desert Lizard shocks.
