Greetiings to all my friends, we are in the beautiful historic town of Clanwilliam, about 200 km's from Cape Town. It has a population of 8000 and it's the only place in the world where rooibos/redbush tea is grown as well as the veldskoen/bush shoes are manufactured. We'll drive through the town's main road and visit the local suburbs and see how the roads are and some of the houses of this town

Hello all my friends, good to see you here and hope you are all doing well! I find myself intriqued by these quaint seaside villages with their own type of character, differing from each other in a beautiful uniqueness only found on the West Coast of Cape Town. In Veldrif, we find friendly locals assisting in directing us and in Lambert's Bay, just happy and smiling people who seem to live a ha...

It was founded in 1863 and is one of the oldest fishing villages in South Africa. Paternoster, which means "Our Father" in Latin, was said to...

Просмотров 33928 дней назад
We find ourselves driving through the beautiful historic town of Wellington in the Winelands area. We have to go through Wellington to get to Bain's Kloof mountain pass. The pass was opened in 1854 and is 18km's in distance connecting with the town of Ceres. The pass was constructed by engineer Andrew Geddes Bain. No trucks are allowed over this pass as the roads are too winding and narrow. If ...

A short drive down Koeberg Road to Brooklyn, a small suburb, about 10 minutes from Cape Town with a population of 10 000. Next up is a walk at Milnerton Lagoon, also known as the Diep River Estuary. It was a day after a storm in Cape Town and the beach was littered with plastic bottles, chocolate wrappers and junk. We travel further North of Cape Town and on the roads less travelled. Thanx for showing my Hometown beautiful place
@user-jg7th4pf7f greetings and happy that you could see your beautiful town again
Why do you say Lively Parkwood where you don't even drive within Parkwood itself..what's wrong brother,is it to Ghetto for you or you might be shot at.its true that Parkwood ain't the same as yester-years as these youths are making our once homely area,a haven for gangsterism.what we had those years while growing up in Parkwood could never be replaced by what's expected today.our government should really step in and create an environment where kids can focus on their future instead of looking to gangsterism, drugs and alcohol.its sad to know that we as a race of people has proven to the country that change is not happening..The believe that a race of people can change for the betterment for themselves and their future offspring needs urgent help, care, understanding in different social economic development.not just in Parkwood but all area's where change needs to be addressed as if change doesn't happen then decay will bring our communities down.
@grahamsheldon9306 of course it's lively there as there are people living there😊
I lived there more than half my life.i know how Parkwood is and i still have family and friends there.dont tell me something I already know.speak about the real issues damaging our communities.@@Allanstravels
This is so cool! The other side of the BIG South African cities, with good decent quality lifestyles. Welcome world! Keep up the good work.

Good morning Allan, My name is Jeff Harrison and for 36 years i have lived in Cape Town and now we live in Pretoria. What makes this video so special is my Grandfather (late) used to stay in the Pastory house behind the Church, My mom (his daughter) and my dad together with my brother and I stayed in the Pastory too, this was many moons ago when I was about 5 or 6, His name was John Ernztern and I think he was the Deacon at the Church, the most terrifying day I had was when they took us up to the Belfry to look at the Bells that the Sidesmen used to ring, those wooden steps anyway this is only on the ancedotes, the next one is of the video you took of Ruyterwacht, my home town when I was still a laaitjie in school from Sub a to Matric, I really thought that when you turned into Paul Kruger Avenue driving towards the old De Ruyter High School, you would have turned left into Wavern street and around the circle into Louis Trichardt Square, thats where I lived, nr 13 Was also glad you did an insert of Summer Greens, when I joined the SA Air Force in 1987, I stayed in the Living In Messes and in 1993 I bought my first house in Summer Greens and watching you drive up Summer Greens Drive, you drove past my street ,25 Galway Road, stayed there for about 3 years before moving to Langebaan Road. A suggestion for another video, why dont you do an insert on Century City and the old Ratanga Junction Kind regards
Hi Jeff, glad you enjoyed watching and bringing some good memories back for you. There's a video of Canal Walk, Century City you can look at, but Ratanga Junction has closed down about 2 years ago. Consider subscribing to the channel, ✌️ thank you 😎
Thanks for the feedback, I am a subscriber to your channel and I have downloaded all your episodes and put it in a file, just like I have done with the Dust Bugs Channel, i miss my home town Thanks for a great show
I missed Cape Town 😍
