Leaf spring bushing installation without a press 1988 Ford F350
Просмотров 19 тыс.11 лет назад
How to install a new leaf spring bushing without removing the springs from the truck to use a press. 1/2" ready rod and some sockets using an impact wrench. Works great!
Question do you still have the trim ? And is your truck a shortbed ?
Great video. I have an Onan genset with w Kubota V1305 and it's doing the same thing. I'm gonna troubleshooting it over this weekend or the following one.
Just saying , I would never put a dirty engine back together . I always clean everything before disassembly .
All bent to shit now lol 😂
What is the peice with the pin for the fuel rack called? Or parts number. 8:53
Great advice!
Lots of really good info. Thank you for posting.
nice, subscribed
dude like you're almost going inside the machine to feed it lol not a good machine
It was a big effort to do this repair much less video the process. Thank you thank you. Mine ran away had rag ready to stuff in the breather. 😅
9:23 exactly thats where i fucked up. Engine is running good now, but there is a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust. Maybe i put them wrong inside.
Are you wearing ear protection and you are quite stu pid shoving your arms way down the chute.
Yes ear plugs always. My hands can't fit through the 3" neck at the bottom of the chute so it's safe, but thanks for your comment.
Thanks for your video! I’m trying mine too. Did you have any pins to align the inner barrel with? The one that you put in at 8:17? I don’t get to which direction the hole or the little channel should go?
Thanks! I'm pretty sure the groove on the barrel slides over a pin in the side so it can only go together one way.
@@RaincoastDiesel I thought so from the drawing but these pins are not present. Someone has been inside before I guess. Thanks for your reply! Just to be sure, I’ve got the Zexel 16006 fuel pump :)
Well made video. Keep them coming. I don’t know much about diesels but have a 20 year old kubota tractor. So my question is how do you check compression on a diesel?
Thanks! Diesel compression testing is basically the same as for a gas engine but you need a higher pressure tester and you will connect with an adapter in place of the glow plug or injector instead of the spark plug.
One of the best videos I've seen on this repair this was awesome
Thanks! I'm glad if it helped
Nice job! One thing that might be worth mentioning (maybe you did and I missed it) is that there's a stack of one or more shims between the pump and the block. It looks like a gasket, but the thickness of that stack is how you adjust the timing, so if you disturb those shims, you need to put back the same thickness when reinstalling.
Yes you're right. I didn't mention that but it's something to watch out for.
A little 2 stroke oil in the fuel will help eliminate sticktion
Thanks, never heard of that one. I normally use Diesel Kleen additive.
ATF works even better
I've read differing opinions on this. The ones I'd tend to believe are that ATF contains additives that are not designed to be burned in fuel, and can leave nasty deposits, and that it's designed to prevent slipping in a transmission, which is sortof the opposite of what you're trying to accomplish. Ashless two stroke oil seems like a better idea.
@iainmacdonnell7618 Well me and 2 million truck drivers and diesel mechanics been doin it wrong for 50 years I guess....lol
@@funone8716 atf has changed many times over the last 50 years
Strap on, I'll bet you like that. Puffy
great seeing a solid repair, and nice camera work showing the dissassembly. thanks!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Have you got any more videos on your truck?
Currently no, just this one
Thank you !!!!!
Have you had tp sharpen the blades yet?
Perfect vid, I need to remove these things in order to prep for painting and I could not figure them out for the lid of me
still have the trim? where you located??
If you are in canada it is almost impossible to get replacement blades. I had to manufacture my own.
Did you call customer service? They got me parts from the USA website that weren't available from the Canada website.
@@RaincoastDiesel i called and was on hold for hours. When did you call them? Recently?
@@PeterDrinnan it was 1-2 years ago.
@@RaincoastDiesel I will try again. Thanks. The chipper is great so I do prefer oem parts if I can get them in order to get a few years out of this machine.
Hearing protection recommended I would say?
100%. I'm wearing earplugs in the video
Do you still have the trim?
Excelent tutorial, thanks for share
2:18 Brown, red, Blue, silver? wth pick a color (prev bronco owners smh)
Two tone brown and silver replacement fender was painted over in black. Truck was originally red.
@@RaincoastDiesel LMAO that's hilarious thank you
Do you think it will work on bamboo?
It should fly through bamboo like butter.
@@RaincoastDiesel Great. Thanks.
Do you still have the trim and if so you want to sell it
I've got a bent one I'll sell you.
Can you use Truefuel in this machine
Champion said additives arenok
hello...Can an internal fender be adapted from a 74 to a 71? 71 hinges go on the inside and 74 hinges go on the outside. Can the fender be fitted? Thank you!
In another video there was a person who put a dust collector hose plus a HVAC boot on their chipper instead of the bag. Not sure if it'll help put the material in a cart well, but would keep it in the compost area.
You have to adjust the carburator
For sure. I fixed a rotted off fuel pickup and fired it up after decade sitting
I bought the smaller version wrks great, but as noted in this review the leaf bits and fine debris blew back around draw string. Thinking of building a cage with screen to catch the leaf debris as I want the fine material. Also I was concerned about possible fire hazard with fine material blowing past hot engine and exhaust.
Perfect, short and sweet thanks buddy
instablaster.
WTF would anybody shred and then burn or throw away?
lol
Good point! I've never done that myself so I dont know.
I guess if you want reduce the size of the pile 15:1 for transporting. Or reduce the size of your fire from say, burning man proportions to a controlled fire in the back yard while relaxing with a cold beverage. Personally I'm more comfortable with my kids tossing wood chips into a fire than large tangled branches. But hey, thats just me.
I like this video because it isn't a bunch of shit camera work. You don't talk about it on and on. You just do it. I see what you did. It worked. ANd I will do the same thing. Thanks for not doing shitty camera work and talking too much. Great video.
Haha thanks. I made this video after getting the idea from a shit 10min video of the same thing.
