what is the thread pattern of the short shifter like the part that goes inside the gears?
I can’t get the original one to break free and I bought 3 different length shifter shafts or whatever they are called probably 4 months ago and I tried twice and still can’t get it to break loose!!! Any tips on how to get this original one to unscrew
be cautions I tired it on original rod and thread broke :( It didn't went smoth at all as it is in this video
The original knob has a smaller thread..hence the need to modify it to fit a real knob. You must have used some force to try and get an M10 screw thread to fit in the smaller M9 OEM hole. I’m not surprised it broke. I’m always open to feedback: do you think I need to alter the listing to make it clear the OEM knob can’t be used. Ping me a message on eBay I’ll see If I can help you
@@paulrochford737 Oh sorry that I lead you to misunderstending. What I meant was not related to your mod parts. But to possiblity to change orginal rod on todays manufactured th8a shifters, because thrusmaster thread lock it :(. And unskrewing original rod resulted in broken thread in 1/3 of length. Because how hard it is now to unskrew this thing like they decided that we can no longer do such a mod, meh :(. And I dont think I could even heat treat it to loosen up beacuse there is this plastic ring, so I would have to melt it down first.
