Flexible segmented vacuum hose for drill press with parametric FreeCAD design
I designed this vacuum hose for my Scheppach DP18 Vario to use with my Makita VC1310L shopvac. It can be configured for a wide range of sizes with very basic FreeCAD knowledge. This video is intended to be a more detailed explanation on how to configure and print such a hose using the files on printables.com.

I make use of the space behind a door to organize my bar stock with common PVC pipes. The french cleat pipe clamps can be 3d printed. You can find the FreeCad 3D model file (with adjustable size parameters) as well as the print files here: www.printables.com/model/371460-french-cleat-pipetube-holder-for-organizing-barsto

Motorized bandsaw table sled for milling lumber part 1
This project revolves around a motorized sled for my wooden band saw. It's a bit of a long winded way to mill some of my lumber. It is split in several parts. This first one covers the basic operation but does not yet include any electronics. The band saw featured in this video is home made. I used the extremely well made plans from Matthias Wandel. You can find them here: woodgears.ca/bandsaw/...
Scheppach DP18 Vario drill press runout test and improvement
A quick demonstration and runout test of me new drill press. I use a dial test indicator to check the runout and exchange the stock arbor with one from Röhm to get about 4 times better accuracy.
Display cabinet with transparent rolling door
This is the first little woodworking build video from my basement shop. It features a little display cabinet with a transparent rolling door made from PET film. The guides of the door are lines with felt so that it moves smoothly and the dust is kept out. I use it to store electronics gear.
thank you
Really helpful video - thanks
Vielen Dank!! Mega hilfreich!
Thank you very much for saving me time and money!
You're welcome! :)
Top! thanks :)
Thank you so much!
No problem. Glad I could help.
Super Arbeit
Super Video! Hat schnell geklappt dank der Beschreibung.
Thanks!!
over all how do you like the shoe?? worth buying ??
yeah I am quite happy with them
*promo sm*
Cool project. What happens if you make the "exit" from your capture ring asymmetric, so you might get a vortex-like suction?
Vielen Dank!!
Great video, helped me out thx
Thanks. Can you please write me the name of the wire or the Link to website please?
I used this one: www.ebay.de/itm/154469925450
The problem is the actual spline and aren't hardened either
Super Anleitung hat sofort geklappt
Nice explanation on the vario speed. 👍
really helpfull, thanks a lot!
Glad it helped!
What is the diameter of the rack? (pipe)
Great video, just fixed mine, I also twisted my wires though, still worked!! Thanks
Glad it helped :)

Thanks, this was really useful! Is the machine reasonably quiet on low speeds? How many decibels on the lowest speed? What is the exact model number of the Röhm arbor?
Röhm kegeldoorn type 236, 16 14906.0 MK 2
...but there is still a LOT of runout, even after the change. Practically useless for any metal works if you have 0.12 - 0.15mm (or maybe even more) runout. Maybe you should change the chuck as well, like I did in my Bosch PBD40. ruclips.net/video/nCqVoaGVK8g/видео.html after that change my runout vent down from 0.23mm to 0.07mm, which is a huge improvement.
good video
Have you tried the DP19? do you know if its having the same features, only smaller. its really hard to compare these wo products. Also, great tip on the kegeldorn replacement. I'll keep it in mind.
Hi. Unfortunately I do not have a DP19 to compare with. But they do seem to be very similar indeed with only slight differences in the physical dimensions.
@@martinsmusings1609 ok thanks, yes the motor and other bits are the same, it seems, if it has all the features of the 18 then id prefer the 19, a bit smaller forr my small shop and its currently about 90 euros cheaper here in germany.
I Had the DP19, It was a Bad Maschine. Runout was Huge. And you can't remove the Kegeldorn on the machine, it's one piece with the head.
@@ImplantedMemories wow that's unfortunate. I was thinking whether they were cutting corners with DP19. Unlike DP18, DP19 got cheaper since it was introduced. Probably a worthwhile investment to buy DP18.
