How to get admission in PhD mathematics in Australia?
Hi Sakshi. You can approach any of the University that has mathematics department because all universities offer PhD in Australia. You would need to find a professor who is willing to supervise you for your PhD and once you have their approval, you can submit the online application where you would have to state the Supervisor is going to be. You would also need a research proposal two or three page proposal sufficient for admission purpose.

You are most welcome 🙏

So nice of you. Thank you
Very informative, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Sir, are there potential downsides of doing direct PhD? I'm doing BSc (hons) Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics from UWE Bristol (1st class so far). It is however a 3 year course. I did the foundation year does it make it 4.
Are you going to pursue your PhD at Bristol itself? There is no downside of doing a PhD. You will just finish your PhD quickly at a very young age and that will be great.
@@VidyPotdar No sir, I was thinking Australia.

Is each band score in Ielts will be a issue for application since I have a overall 6.5
Yes. Minimum band is requirement so please check the university that you are applying. Thanks
@@VidyPotdar can I use letter from my department as English requirement as it mention in website
I have another question...in some video for phd in australlia they mentioned ielts is not required id your masters degree is in english...i am confused now can you please clarify me
It depends upon which university you have graduated from and which country. There is a list that the Australian University use to assess whether the level of English at your university is considered equivalent to the universities accepted level of English.
How to know if my university is on the list or not?
I have done masters degree from uppsala university of sweden
Is there a specific time when applocation opens or can we apply at anytime by checking their websites?
PhD applications are open throughout the year so you can apply any time. However, if you are required to do some coursework units, then those will begin only two times in a year if it’s a semester based program or three times a year if it is a trimester. so you could be bit more strategic when you apply or even if you apply at any time and you’re required to do coursework then you could be able to do it when it is next available thank you
I am a physician from Bangladesh having 8 years experience on clinical medicine after MBBS. As I dont have any research or publication, can I apply for a PHD in Australia or research Master’s first? Should I need approval from a supervisor prior to my application in case of research master or mphil ?
Hi Sangita To answer your question it would depend upon whether you are undergraduate degree had some research project or whether when you were working for the last eight years were you involved in any research project? If you have participated and can show research experience, then you may not need publications. Some universities may except admission into Phil or PhD without a publication, so you may give it a try . Having publications only increases your chances of getting a scholarship. Thanks Vidy
Great video
Thank you 🙏 Where are you planning to apply for PhD?
@@VidyPotdar I'm not going to do that. Thank you.
Thank you for the video Sir! I have a doubt yet: Is the postoctoral dependent allowed to work in Australia? If so, What is the visa in that case?
Yea as far as I know they are allowed to work and it may be some form of dependent Visa. I am not really sure.
Hi Vidy, I graduated master's degree from university in Sweden, Do I need IELTS score to apply for PhD in Australlia?
If the medium of instructions were in English then I don’t think you may need.
What about germany?
I am not sure about Germany.
Thanks Sir, very helpful.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for sharing this information, this video will help me a lot in my research. I have one question to ask though, based on how you used the prompts, could this also help in answering Qualitative Comparative Analysis?
Yes, the way ChatGPT has been used for thematic analysis can also be adapted for qualitative content analysis. Both methodologies involve identifying and interpreting patterns within qualitative data. By providing clear prompts and context, ChatGPT can assist in coding data, identifying themes, and comparing qualitative findings, making it a valuable tool for qualitative comparative analysis as well.
That sounds painful especially for someone with kids or a job. Why not just have someone help you with all the writing?
Agreed. This is what I followed but you can always change to suit your circumstances.
Hello Sir Thank you for your videos. May I asked in my CV, how I should write my publication if it has been co-authored? Thank you
You can write your publications in form of citation like you typically write in a research paper in the reference list. You can make your name bold in the author list so it is easier for employers to see.
❤Thank you Sir
May I further ask if for positions held, should I write the equivalent position for the country or should I retain the title where I have gotten it
Amazing insights. Thanks for letting us know

Hello sir, there are independent variable, dependent variable, and a moderator in my research, so, do i have to do start finding the SLR papers which include all of those variables? Or can I see the SLR papers which have focused in only the variable which has a role in the relationship? (For example: i want to study about : A has a relationship with B. C acts as a moderator. then should i start search for papers which studies all those A, B, and C or can i collect papers which talks about A and other variables)
Hello Bandeet Thank you for your question. Its important to understand potential approaches of how you can deal with this. For example, you may want to study how job satisfaction (A) affects employee productivity (B) with work environment quality (C) acting as a moderator. To do this my suggestion would be as follows: Option 1 is to conduct a broad initial search. You can start by searching SLR papers that directly address all three of your variables (A, B, and C) and identify research that most closely matches your proposed study and provides insights into how the moderation effect of C has been handled in previous studies. Next you can look for variable specific papers where you look at papers focusing on the relationships between A (job satisfaction) and B (employee productivity) but those that may or may not cover C (work environment quality). This approach will provide you a broader context and help you understand the foundational relationships before adding the complexity of a moderator. Dont ignore this step. Once you have completed that I would suggest you to look for papers that have studied specific moderators. During this stage look for studies that focus on how C (work environment quality) acts as a moderator on various variables (not just with A and B). The last step would be to look for SLRs that discuss any two of your main variables or each individually. For example, find SLRs on job satisfaction, employee productivity, and work environment quality separately. These reviews can provide a broader overview and identify gaps in the research that your study could address. By following this 4 stage approach, you can get a clear understanding of the state of the art. I hope this helps you in pursuing your SLR. If you want more recent content do check out these videos, where I have shown how to use ChatGPT and other AI tools to speed up your research www.youtube.com/@VidyPotdar/streams Thanks Vidy

Sir my msc mathematics is complete so how can i do phd in mathematics field
Hi Sonu. If you have completed MSC mathematics and have scored 70% or above then I think you should be eligible to pursue your PhD in most good universities in Australia. One thing that Australia universities is also look for is whether you have completed some research during your masters program. Have you done any research? If not it may be a good idea to do some research and publish a good research paper and then apply for PhD. I hope this is helpful. If you check, I have detailed videos on how to apply for PhD in Australia.

60%only sir achieve marks in msc mathematics
Please sir you made my professor 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 plzzz help me
In that case you should try some universities that have low entry criteria. But most Australian universities will not accept around 60%. Other option is you can do MPhil. Our masters by research and some universities in Australia allow you to convert your masters by research to PhD if you have made substantial progress in your masters. I hope this helps.
Day 1 or 2 into these videos in March, I started watching. Soon afterwards, I discontinued as I could not keep up with other commitments. But I still watch your videos here and there. Sixty videos? Wawu! I wonder how you find the time, even though you could have postdocs and others on your team doing the day-to-day research work. Notwitstanding, you still have other commitments. Regardless, I am not downplaying the work that went into the production of these videos. So, I would like to say thank you for creating these videos. Having listened to content creators on RUclips [YT], I am fully aware of the enormity of work that goes into these 60, 30, 45, 15, or even 5 minute videos we see on YT. I am compelled to jot these few lines down to let you know that someone somewhere appreciates you and wanted you to know. I have shared this video with someone I know who will be starting their PhD in Fall/Summer. Hopefully, they will watch all so that it can give them a good headstart. Weldone, Dr.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, Eimienwanlan! I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with the videos. It means a lot to me that I could be helpful. By the way, what are you researching on? Where are you based? Creating these videos indeed takes a lot of effort, but knowing that they help and inspire others, especially those embarking on their PhD journey, makes it all worthwhile. Best wishes to your friend who is starting their PhD-I hope these videos will help them! Thanks again for your support and for sharing the videos. It encourages me to keep going and contributing to our community. Thank you so much 🙏🙏 Vidy
