I got clean for my baby while I was pregnant, he’ll be 2 next month and I’m still clean. Still got cps called even tho I gave my son my all, dealt with them for months till they concluded that I was not a risk to my son since I wasn’t using drugs at the time. They finally left us alone. Point is, someone judged my past and decided I should be investigated, not seeing what I’ve already done for my unborn child. Not the best mom out there for obvious reasons, but I deserve to keep my son after everything I’ve done to change myself in order to give him the best mom possible. I do understand why cps was called, it just felt like someone was trying hard to paint me as a bad mother while I was still learning how to take care of a newborn… felt like they didn’t want to give me a chance. I get it tho. My boyfriend went through not having a mom there for him for the same reason. And it’s sad that so many children see that life and it shouldn’t be. That’s just not the kind of mother I am and I proved it before I even had cps called on me. Edit: for some context, I did not plan to get pregnant it just happened. I was an addict and planned on being for life and no desire for children, my son changed my mind and my whole life and saved me so I didn’t want an abortion, I wanted him. Best decision I’ve ever made.

The baby scrunch ❤❤❤. I currently have a toddler and a 6 month. For a few months I had two under two and that was hard. I barely got any sleep and felt like a zombie. Mama I know what you’re going through. It’s so hard and people can be mean to judge. I wish you the very best and it gets a little easier some days. But don’t be so hard on yourself if it’s not easy most days. Baby first, house and chores can wait❤

Omg look at that precious little bundle 💗 to all other moms out there, y'all are rockatars and in those moments where you get frustrated or tired or feeling like you're invisible or like people only care when they need something. It doesn't matter what it is, enjoy those tough moments too because we are built for it and as you get older and if you are blessed to watch your babies grow up , you learn not to take stuff for granted. For example, if the kids are being loud in the house or laughing running around etc, it might erk your nerves for a minute , but you will miss the moments where they won't do that anymore bc they have grown up and they spread their wings. I cried the other day bc it hit me that my 11 year old is not a baby anymore. She's alwaysy baby and yes we really do see kids as kids no matter how old they get. But I was so emotional knowing that my time with her as a baby has gone and she is getting older and she has 7 years until she wants to be on her own. It makes me feel like she won't need me anymore, I know we will always need each other. But it is something I struggle with. Sorry for over sharing but I just want y'all to know I'm rooting for you and you're doing a great job ❤

I don't know who is making the negative comments but I remember those days of no sleep, letting things go, sleeping when my baby slept, one or two hours at a time. You carry this life, you went through the pain of delivering this life, your responsibility has just begun. To hell with the messy house, it will always be there.

Oh for sure the baby gets all the attention and I try to help out new moms. When we go to the baby shower we get stuff for Mom too even if it's just a nursing nightgown and some house shoes, some adult body wash to remind her that she's important too and bath bombs to help her relax. The baby can be in a bouncy seat by the tub if she's alone and can't get someone to watch the baby a little while

And do you think that stops at a newborn...girl my daughters are 4 and 10 my house is still a mess and I still have sleeplessness nights and wake up to just check they are breathing being a mom to any age is hard especially if you are doing it alone...but my kids are happy and healthy and my house can wait cuz there will always be a new mess but won't ever be many lasts..and I refuse to miss those moments to vaccum...

I don’t understand why people think she left 17 dirty diapers laying around -it said the house was messy, which is perfectly normal when you have a newborn

The amount of pressure we put on ourselves is crazy. We’re not meant to do it alone. I remember crying out for help to a stranger online saying I felt guilty for having bought my kids fast food multiple times in a week. I had my 10, 8, 6, 3 year old and my newborn with my husband halfway across the country and my mom also lived in another state. I was alone. My house definitely wasn’t clean and I wasn’t always showered but what that stranger told me was I was doing a great job because my kids were loved and fed and I shouldn’t feel guilty that I was buying them pizza more than a few times a week for dinner. They thought I was the best mom ever cause they loved pizza. But in my heart I felt defeated cause I knew pizza wasn’t as good as a homemade meal.

I tell you one thing iv learnt been a mum for 23 years,forget what everyone else thinks of your house,it will get done eventually your childs needs come first before anyones horrible remarks,iv now got 5 kids and each one it gets harder to keep a tidy home trust me ❤

A baby who wants a dry diaper is very much easier to potty train than a baby who sits in a wet diaper. 😉

I used to set alarms in my phone to wake up to feed my baby. Playing relaxation music helped calm my baby. I used to give my baby homeopathic remedial herbal medicine to ease pains such as teething and while having colic. I also used bonjela teething cooling gel during the teething stage. They worked so well.

I was always told that babies that smile or laugh in their sleep are playing/talking to the angels.
