@3ggt3 I'm glad you liked the photos 3ggt3. Thanks for the compliment but the compliment should go the the builders and architects of what was once a beautiful city with so many great monumental buildings. I just pushed the button on the camera. The size of the cathedral amazed me; it's massive! Who knows, maybe one day things will change.
Thanks for uploading the video, very nice pictures. Armenians will regain the city of Ani whether through peace or violence.
@P1KA22O Your anger quite is justified. I remember when Devlet Bahceli, whose political party (MHP) was greatly responsible for the Sept. 6, 1955 pogrom in Istanbul, said prayers at the cathedral. It shows you the mentality of some of these people here. Read "The Mechanism of Catastrophe". To this day this area of Istanbul contains many empty buildings of Greeks and Armenians who fled the violence.
@P1KA22O I think there's some misunderstanding; I'm not Turkish, I'm a foreigner Christian resident in Turkey and visited Ani out of respect and admiration for what was once a marvelous city. It was sad for me to see all the destruction. I am well aware of the history or this area. I hope this will sooth your anger.
We will not have to fight for our lands from turkey. Under international law, your occupying OUR LANDS. Your people are brainwashed, they really think it's your land. Not even USA recognizes turkey's border with Armenia, why ? Because it was USA who drew the final map of Turkey's borders with Armenia. It has nothing to do with genocide, recognizing it or not, we WILL get our lands back from you under international law. I hate kurds, but even they will legally get their lands from you.
Meanwhile in Shushi Karabakh, Armenians have renovated the city's only mosque. But there are no muslims there because it is an ancient Armenian city. But we have honour, and we fear God. So we do not destroy places of worship. But your azeri 'brothers' destroyed 10,000 cross-stones in julfa and threw it in arax river ! Those were hundreds of years old ! But the day will come when Ararat, erzurum, kars and Ani will be Armenia again, along with nakhijevan.
