I was a little girl of maybe four when"Saturday Night Fever" came out.I always loved this song.But Mr.Lambert's performance..doing a melancholy slower version of song makes one pay close attention to lyrics.Beyound excellent performance.It was if he was acting out song words ..but instead of body he did with voice.One can see he connected with song on deep level.Mr.L gives it his all when performing.He does not half way do a performance.Him connecting with a song matters..even if it out of his normal rock and pop game.If he cannot find a way to connect to a song emotionally and mentally..it is going to show.His heart is too true to fake a connection to music if the connection is not there no matter how deep he wills himself.I love his take on this song and his take on this beyond belief.He is a stunning artist who can actually sing.He sounds better live than studio stuff.That is saying a lot in this modern times when tech can make even a dog howling sound good.

Will always be astounded that he didn't win regardless of homophobia. He was just that good!
