Saw this tonight in Detroit. Gotta see it live. The bass and immaculate sound engineering pounds in your chest. Just a perfect concert. Brilliant 11/10

We saw Jacob 21 days later (May 25, 2024) in Portland Oregon at the 2,992 seat Keller Auditorium. Sold out naturally. Lady sitting next to me drove in from Seattle - their venue sold out even earlier. The setlist was similar but not the same. I think he rents local Steinway's. In PDX I don't recall a name stripe on the right side nor a mirror over the keyboard. Makes sense, they're probably heavy to pack and haul. A lady named Nancy flew in from San Francisco for her 100th Birthday. Jacob had been in contact with her for a year or two planning this. He had us all sing HB to her, then he did her fave song: Hideaway. We did not get Georgia On My Mind. ;-( We got one encore with Find Me Somebody To Love and Moon River. THANK YOU GLEN for recording and posting this. You have a very steady hand. OMFG he's putting in a lot of miles on his tour busses. There were two outside the Keller, but that's all the room there was to park there, I suspect with 7 musicians and about 15 crew they need more.

Caught the irving texas show few weeks ago. Drove 5 hours to get there. Loved it

We went to the San Francisco show last evening. The show itself was great - the “show tech” was amazing. The sound system was loud and at times muddled the vocals. The opening act ran about 45 minutes then there was a 30 minute intermission. As there was no setup this was to help out the venue’s concessions (which illegally didn’t accept cash). We had some dopey VIP tickets which were pretty much worthless, and it turns out there were TWO VIP levels, one showing the “sound check” the other early admission which really didn’t matter. Virtually no patron knew about the two, and some were admitted early just be kicked out for a while and have to go through security again. No meet and greet. The hall held 8,500 people, mostly full. Now sorry to bitch about something but the venue and the tour staff treated everyone like criminals. I understand crowd control, but the simplest of questions got snarky responses. Tall pink hair guy, I’m looking at you. Mr. Bald of Graham Security too. This with the secret VIP levels put an immediate damper on the proceedings. Tour manager ought to look into this (but Iikely won’t). Tour merch had no CD’s - clothing and vinyl only. Finally, I brought Jacob a sort of present - a few pieces of public domain scores I would think he’d like if not already known. No way to deliver these though, so I dumped the packet on a chair in the lighting/sound section. Probably binned, but what can one do? Glad we went? Yes, Could the “environment” be a bit more pleasant? Hopefully - I’m not in the touring business so cannot honestly opine.

Saw them open for Third Eye Blind in MSP in '14 & didn't know much other than "Boston" and Daniel & co. were awesome. I looked into their other stuff, so good. "Life Imitating Life" is one of my favs + the new album sounds really, really good.
