Merry Christmas Friends!! What a beautiful program I have just experienced. I have never heard nor seen a Japanese Christmas program. The first one with the ladies with the red sashes, Oh Holy Night, was so beautiful. Of course, I cannot read nor speak the language, but I didn't need to. I got it. This was the most beautiful program I have seen in forever. Thank You. The music was just wonderful, the whole program itself was wonderful. I enjoyed every minute of it. May God Bless .✌❤😊

God Morning all. First, my condolences to the lady who lost her family member at 103. That's a long time and I'm sure she had a good life. I Thank You for this Church and the service you extend out to folks like me. Each week I learn a little more. I hope in my learning, that I will become a better person as I grow and learn. Hello Dear Friends.....Slow down, what a beautiful song and so well sung!! That is something in todays world, is hard to do. So much to do. Yet, I agree, we need to slow down, tho hard to do, slow down and take time. Pastor Gerald...yes, I am old enough to remember President Kennedys assassination. I also remember The Beatles on Ed Sullivan as well. Yes, I'm old. The message was a good one today. The thing that I'm wanting to see is kindness towards each other. No matter our person, just being kind to one another is a good start. It happens, but not nearly enough. In my job, each day I see a different person. Just a kind word ..."How are you doing?" can sometimes make a person open up and be able to talk to. Compassion is needed in this day. The leaders we have today should hear that.....COMPASSION for the less fortunate. Thank You all for a great service....and especially the young man who sang Slow down...so beautiful.✌❤😊

Good Day My Friends. Yes, Hope. It is something to look to...hope. In my case, I ask Makiki Christian Church for a Prayer. I am having a biopsy done on the prostrate on the 13th. My hope is that all will go well, that the 'shadow' they seen is not going to be bad. That I will come out of it with Hope, that there is no cancer. That is my Hope, and I Pray that all goes well. Pastor Wayne, what a great message this morning. It is true, very hard to hold back anger at what is going on in this country. I ask God each night to help me get thru these times. People heard, but did not LISTEN to this man when he said what he is going to do. Unfortunately, those elected will fall in line for fear of being blasted in the media. PARTY over PRINCIPAL. Very sad. This week of Thanksgiving, I am grateful to have been drawn to this Church. Bill Millward, who with his wife and family attended this Church, was my long time Navy Shipmate, and I miss him terribly. I believe he has something to do with me being drawn here. Good Morning all. Yes, TV preachers.....I cannot think that they are doing all that good. Million dollar homes, jet planes, a rich lifestyle. I see it too much. It is unsettling. Yet, there are people here who go to Church on Sunday, but on Monday it's...."Build that wall, people who aren't "white" aren't anyone, people who are 'different' have no place or cannot get healthcare because of their sexual orientation, throw out the people who are here to make a better living for themselves. These 'people' are 'Christians?' I have too many family members who think just that. They post these 'memes' about these very things, yet say they say they follow Christ. That in no way is what God wants us to do. So these 'far right Christians' as I will call them....think they get a place at the table. I say no, God will pull up your book of life and ask you....."did YOU post these things? did you say build a wall? Did you say throw these people out? Did you say we are not going to help those different than us if they need health care?.......and of course you know, those people will hang their heads in SHAME......well, God forgives........but he don't FORGET......I think those people will be in for a big surprise. WE can only hope, thru Faith, that all bad things will pass, and the good will take over. People chose PARTY over PRINCIPAL. Very sad. Hello and Good Morning. Hallelujah....and Praise the Lord...What a cool song to start with. However, dear Friends, I am struggling to make sense of what has happened this past week. The country put PARTY over PRINCIPAL....what do I mean by that? It's very simple....What are Principals? Is telling lies good? Is making false claims good? Is making fun of our Military Veterans, which I am, good? Is putting down people of different nationalities good? Is letting a FELON, a RAPIST, a LIAR, a THIEF a good thing? Is common sense morals NOT a good thing? When did all this become good? I was NEVER taught like this. Yet, there ARE Churches here on the mainland who teach just that. If the Churches were REAL here, we wouldn't have that problem.....by REAL I mean that TEACH ABOUT CHRIST AND FOLLOW HIM. Yet, they don't. Only as it "fits" their narrative. We are ALL different, God MADE US that way. This nation is in a bad place right now. I do not things are going to go well. I am struggling....I know I should LOVE....but I just can't LOVE someone who puts PARTY over PRINCIPALS........it has torn my family apart.....I know it is wrong for me to be this way, I have asked God for guidance, yet, in my mind, I am getting the sense of not wanting to be around those people. Surely, God is not telling me to push them aside? Please, I ask you, dear Friends of Makiki Christian Church, Pray for me and my family.. I am having a hard time with this. Good Day Friends! What a wonderful day it is. As I watch the service, I see that the color of the trim around the Cross above the alter looked almost violet....the color of the sun coming thru I suppose. A different look. Pastor Scott....I think that's right...had a very good message this morning. Now, I don't know everyone's name who speaks or sings, but I enjoy the message....like he said...I love piano music. I enjoy hearing the music each week. Some tunes I recognize, some I don't, but I sing along. Yes, this election is hard on a lot of us, who do not want to see a type of government that is not what this country was founded upon. I can only hope and Pray, that the citizens of this great country, do the right thing.....cast off and away those who belittle and berate our fellow Americans. I often wonder....those who follow this person....how can you? do you teach your children this? Bullying, calling people names? Demeaning them because they are different? But yet, those people will still vote for the person who does not deserve to be the leader of the Free World. I can only Pray that America will be smart, and turn away those who speak badly about others. Have a Blessed week my Friends.✌❤😊

Good Morning all!! What a great song to begin with, Cat Stevens, Morning Has Broken, A very moving and beautiful version. The song always got to me. I think in todays message, it should be shown to all these 'TV Preachers" . Wealthy 'preachers' who keep their wealth, mega Churches......one even said, when asked...."Why do you have a gold toilet in your house?" to which she replied...."Because God told me I needed one" I REALLY don't believe that God told her, basically, it was okay to have a gold toilet and not worry about the poor. Like the message that was given..... To truly follow God and serve Jesus, we must shed the wealth and be more giving. I wonder, how many millions did some of these Mega Churches give to the folks who went thru the recent hurricanes? Big jets, big cars, fancy houses and clothes. I BELIEVE for all those who preach, and make MILLIONS and NOT give it all back, those shall not get the "A" ticket to enter the Gates of Heaven, but rather a lower ticket, like a "M" or "T" ticket....farther down the line. This was a GREAT message, I wonder WHY does the rich TV Preacher not understand that message? For me, attending this service, thru the RUclips, is helping me to try and do better in this life. I say again, I am not perfect and I tell my God that every night, I ask for His Forgiveness. I thank You Pastor Wayne for all you do and the message I recieve each week from Makiki Christian Church. I like the fact that, each week you have a different person give a message. Something I've not seen in Churches over here. Pastor Wayne....I really love hearing you speak. It is with such calm and reassurance. Todays message really hit the spot. I want to Thank You for the message you and your members give each week. Good Morning.....Rhetoric....that was a very good message. I see that all too much today. It HURTS more than it HELPS. I listen and observe and enjoy each week your message. I gives me a guide, if you will, for the week. I surely am not in any way "perfect" ....none of us are, but I try my best to do good each and every day. Yes, we are all different, we should enjoy each ones difference....it is something to learn from. I am one who will just stop and start talking to someone I don't know...I do it all the time. I was always asked, " Why did you strike up a conversation with that person?".....well, for me, it's how I learn about other people, cultures etc. As I watch and learn here, at Makiki Christian Church, how to be a better person, to enjoy, even more, other people and cultures. Your message of inclusiveness is the message that I hear and is GOOD. Too many over here on the mainland do not follow that idea. Only if it works for THEM. The message that Jesus loves ALL OF US not "certain" folks. I haven't heard that message here in Missouri......Jesus wants us to love everyone...not build "walls"...which is what I see. Your message is that of INCLUSION, which is what Jesus preached. My long time friend Bill Millward, who passed earlier this year, attended this Church with his wife Ann.
