My great grandfather was Cherokee & he was captured by the english & was a house & stable slave & well the english owner of a castle was very rich & his daughter fell in love with my great grandfather a Cherokee handsome Mann & my great grandmother loved him & so her father gave them $33,000.00 because my great grandfather wanted to move back to america & so my great,great grand dad gave my great grandfather a Cherokee man & his wife $33,000.00 to move back to america & in 1865 they had 14 children from 1865 to 1888 & all 14 children 3 girls & 11 boys & they all live because my great grandfather made sure that my great grandmother at very well for surviving for the well-being of his wife & their 14 children. & no 1 should ever be a slave ever. 😢

Not sure anyone needs to get angry and defensive. During this time un history MANY MANY people of ALL races had no beds!! A pallet on floor was a luxury for the majority of people. Slave Cabins look like the houses in most areas where it's a heavy population of black people in modern times. The big house on plantations look like where Caucasian people live for the most part. Really nice neighborhoods with big nice size homes.

I lived in Savannah and worked at a restaurant Downtown. Serves are required to know and share the history of the home with patrons, but are not allowed to refer to the ghosts as slaves. Instead they are required to say that the hauntings are of “servant children.” 😒 I could never again in my life live down there.

There are ways to find ancestry through slaves records to keep track of family relations. So I don’t know why “historians” couldn’t determine familiar relations. A lot actually is known. Unless lost in fires or something where documents were destroyed. They like to keep it hush, but it’s there.

This a very respectful video and I thank you for it but I do have to say that when you referred to the slaves coming from the Caribbean you do know that Caribbean slaves came from Africa also. I understand the point you were making but most Caribbean slaves originate from Africa...
