i suck but my rg8 does not make a huge amount of noise when not playing it? i wonder if this is a quality control issue and the grounding is not quite right. also if you have a lot of gain you may want to add a noise gate at the end of your signal chain

@@anarchysoftworks4592 Cheers, thanks for the reply mate. Yeah I think it must be a grounding/QC issue. I have since traded it in for a RGMS7 and I have no regerts.

@@davymetal3302 it feels really good to play🤘 As of yesterday I can play through the whole song, but some sections need work and as always tabs are to be taken with a pinch of salt. I try use tabs and compare live videos to try find my own way
