Thank you for leaving off the constant music that so many Utubers feel they must have on their channels. My wife and I really appreciate it. We also live near here and have been to Muir woods in the past. However many potential viewers have not so a little bit of voiceover explaining what exactly Muir woods is would have useful.

Brings back cool memories!!! I worked as a summer intern there for two summers in 1986 and 87. That road between the parking lot and the airport was were I was involved in a plane accident. We were driving along the road when a small twin engine plane landed long on the runway and crashed thru the fence just missing us in the car. i had to fill out an FAA Report. My Dad worked at Long Beach for a long time. I sure miss that place!!!!

I did a internship at McDonnell Douglas in high school around 1989. My drafting teacher recommended me for the program. Boys and girls were chosen from schools in Bellflower, Lakewood, Long Beach. It was about 25 of us and we worked in Bldg 35. We were there for about 3 months and we were learning structural engineering, basically learning how to design airplane parts. I had the best time ever, we toured the facility several times, we meet very interesting people, and learned so much. I will never forget it. Seeing this video brings back great memories, driving down Lakewood Blvd and seeing the planes being built. Boeing took over and it all went downhill. They basically sold everything off, now Mercedes Benz and Virgin Galactic are on one side and where the black office building was and my building #35 have been torn down and is now a shopping center. Mercedes Benz wanted to remove the "Fly DC Jets" neon sign, but surprisingly the city of Long Beach stepped in and preserved it. The sign still light up every night with all the neon lights working...

ah, yes, remember it well. Was at LGB in April of 2009, non revving on Delta. The two mainstays at LGB in 2009 were Jet Blue and Delta. I don’t even recollect seeing a Southwest plane there at that time.

Wow I sure wish gasoline was $1 a gallon now in 2022. Great video. I remember as a kid when on the 405 freeway I loved to catch a glimpse of the planes being built.
