Wow not very often I come across early qotsa rarities I don't know! Very different than the original gamma ray if I'm thinking of the right song

Trivia: in the lullabies to paralize making of dvd, there is a chart of songs recorded. "Till tomorrow" was one of them that leaked and has a similar chorus to this. I found it very close to the stuff josh recorded with the same guys (wellwater conspiracy)

@@chudthug John McBain and Matt Cameron had a band Wellwater Conspiracy. On their album "Brotherhood of Electric" are a couple of songs Josh was involved in, he sings on 3 of it. Pretty Great, specially the song "Teen Lambchop"

As much as I'd love to have a clean studio version of this, I think the low quality really adds to the mysteriousness of the track.
I love it when qotsa makes a chill song like this👌 Side note, a lot of the qotsa rarities that were recorded before their debut album seem very grunge-y, it seems like qotsa almost went in a completely different direction
Well Homme played with some amount of bands one of them being the Screaming Trees which was a grunge band
I think it's because they just wanted to do something new. Thier goal a majority of the time has been to make something Noone has ever heard before, unique and different.

Can't help you with the lyrics, but no matter, it's more about the vibe for me. Understanding lyrics often isn't necessary for my enjoyment of a song.

No, it was a long lost track that was recorded in 1996 at Ironwood studios. The owner of the tape cassette with this on it came forward and posted this on Instagram for a day before taking it down. Luckily the owner of this RUclips channel decided to record it before it was taken down and it's uploaded here for all to hear. Some say that the woman who had this cassette all these years was Josh's ex girlfriend who worked at the studio.

Yes. They are indeed. John McBain confirmed that several years ago, as he played on these early QOTSA demo sessions with Josh and Alfredo.

Apparantly it was some woman who worked with Ironwood studios (the studio where the McBain sessions were recorded)
It was joshs ex girl friend. She used to work for mans ruin, my family knows her. She posted on social media these cassettes and pulled them after a day or so. I saw it maybe 4 months ago when driving up through Vegas. I held my phone to my ear to listened and the next day they were gone. Glad someone captured them
