@@Roro_the_creature I agree. But I'm willing to bet a really good editor would know how to make it captivating nonetheless. Things not going right can make stories interesting. I'm still learning that part though!

Thanks! I'm currently fixated on learning how to make videos. I'll have to figure out how to work the algorithm next haha

​@@truc_e Some stuff you can try: - Have a goal or teaser early on in the video that makes people want to keep watching, and smaller goals inbetween so they don't just skip to the end - When you have something more popular to latch onto like here, maybe mention it in the description or tags so youtube knows who to recommend it to. For example having the game names in the timestamps probably helped, but might be smart to also mention what streamers you used the chat of. - Consider making some of the more interesting parts into shorts that link into this video (you can use the retention graph for this!) - If there are parts of the video where you're losing a lot of retention, consider using the yt video editor to just cut it out or shorter. And when you have something that might draw interest, like using the chats of other streamers, make sure it's easy to spot even in thumbnail form. The names you had on screen sometimes were good, but might be a little hard to see so consider having a recognizable image too. This goes both for when you originally streamed it (people seeing it as a thumbnail on twitch), and also when it's a video (if people pan the timeline to look for a part that's interesting to them). I liked your intro btw, very fun and interesting.

@@ITR I appreciate the genuine feedback very much. I very much realized that the main issue with this video is the lack of goals or greater narrative, kind of just things happening one after another. I'll definitely have to put some of these tips into action!

@truc_e Personally I think it's a great video regardless, and can reach a lot of people as is. What I mention is more if you want to go the extra mile, which I personally have not bothered doing with any of my own videos. So take it with a grain of salt, lol That said, you do have some goals/greater narrative. E.G. how far they got in super mario world, and who will win the SSB tourney. You also set up the three games in the introduction, which could have led nicely into some sort of across-all-games score which could have been used to decide who got to play mario party for example. Compare for example to DougDoug's "Can Twitch Chat beat ITSELF in a Videogame Tournament?", where he has: - Clear tally of score - Music / Sound edited to complement the exciting and tense moments of the video - Humanizing the clearly mostly random moves in a way that makes the viewer have more of a connection to them - Compare especially how he uses voice-over at 6:15 when they turn around to how you treated the chat getting far in SMW then going all the way back to the start
