It's amazing watching your room makeovers these past few months. I never think that changing furniture could express your personal interests, but the patterns on fabric and the shapes of the lamps you use give it that creative touch. It makes the whole room feel like it belongs to you. I remember watching HGTV room makeovers, and they always seemed dull. They buy a bunch of items and furniture with specific patterns in mind because "it enhances the space" or "this color will reduce stress." They made it scientific, but I didn't feel the same way. A room is your safe space, and no one should judge you for its contents and force you to change it. And that's why I love watching your videos. All of your room makeovers don't feel forced. They feel fluid. Smooth. Life is always changing, and you're going with the flow. I would never have thought to reuse old furnishings, like a rug, for a makeover, but when I think about it, it makes so much sense. I grew up thinking change meant throwing away old stuff, but if I really like it, why should it be tossed? It can always be cleaned and reused, and if it doesn't fit the current room aesthetic, I can also store it for a future room makeover. Switching out your favorite items to make your space feel new but still feel like you... it feels like such a novel concept. But I like it. I like it a lot. ❤

Lilies are really dangerous for cats and dogs, it's the pollen that can kill them, and it only takes a little. They don't have to eat the flower, a few grains of pillen on the fur, and then they lick the fur, can be lethal. But just cut the pistils off the lilies, and they are ok!

I'm in Sweden, and I have almost no Ikea or Marimekko in my house (my Billy bookcases, a little Ketunmarja bowl and a few coloured Mari bowls, that's it), but now I cross my fingers that I will find some nice pieces at the thrift store! I laughed so much when the cursed explosion cat woke you. I also love Ernest Shepherd’s illustrations the AA Milne poetry books are very dear to me. Where did the wooden dowel hanging hooks come from? Such a cool piece. My Moomin poster book arrived and I might be moving in to my own apartment (if my offer is accepted) so I can hang so many posters and paintings on the wall. You look very chic in your Marimekko denim too! The extra large Blooms are looking fantastic. I was relieved to see they made it through the firing. One last question are the plush cat toys from a story book? They look familiar.
