Hi all! I got the new motor driver and hooked it up to the machine to test the new wash action. The machine from now on will swing in the opposite direction before tumbling. I’m still working on the algorithm for stepping and swinging but so far so good! Like, share, and subscribe for more!

Hello!! I noticed 2 things: My drain pump is very noisy; LG washers stop draining once no water is left in the drum. I wanted to take care of the noise problem and also wanted to make this machine even more realistic. So I added the capability of sensing whether or not there is water left in the machine. When the pump runs out of water to drain, it shuts off after a couple seconds.

How are u using soap the washer says u cant use soap

how did you eliminate the whine from the arduino’s pwm?
if you’re using an esp32, you can increase the pwm frequency by doing analogWriteFrequency(20000) or something like that. if you’re using an arduino, you can use a small capacitor to smooth out the voltage to silence the whine

It does stepping and swing there are smaller delays on real machines
I would really recommend adding suspension and springs and maybe a bit of counter weight too, and maybe put it on a hard surface instead too?
