First plane I ever flew in too Kent. I would have been around 6 or 7. Dad had just gotten his license and would rent one at the local airport in Sidney, Ohio to fly to shooting events around the region for Gun Week newspaper. He also rented it a few times for family trips. Mom, Dad, and 4 of us kids squeezed into that thing all the way to Texas. Dad and I flew up to Camp Perry for the Nationals one year and he offered to let me hop over the lake in the last Ford Tri-motor in commercial service, but I wasn't willing to trust anyone but Dad at the time, so I didn't take the ride.
