Palmetto Dunes lagoon system.
Out of curiosity how did that tunnel plan work out? Did he end up using it as his entrance/exit?
There is a massive at least 9 foot gator in there, saw it in july is 2022. I live right down the street from where this video started and im just saying that spot is incredibly dangerous.
It is interesting to see the condition of this set up now
That's a mud turtle for future knowledge.. kinosternon subrubrum
What on?
I always fish up against that dam where the water comes in, got some big black drum off there almost pulled a tarpon from where your staining
Hello 👋
Wonderful video, my friend ❤ I have a P. Machala and I am definitely hoping for a male. It's last molt was just a few days ago, and it's the most beautiful shades of magentas and purples! Mine is very prone to charging at the tongs, water wand or even just me if it sees me walk by. No threat posture yet, but very quick to charge 😊 it's a gorgeous spider though!
Wassup
So wish I was there
How about telling us where you're fishing.
Its at the hyrule castle chasm
Sheesh these comments are harsh. He does more for his turtle then most people. My daughter got this same turtle, same size too. No idea who even got it for her i came home and we had a turtle. Its tank is set up for a more aquatic turtle its just water with a floating rock and right away i knew that wasnt right. So today im getting this poor turtle a new setup.
I love how you give info on your spiders as you rehouse them , I can only think of a few that do the same ,
Pls give us more of your pacman frog😂
I’m moving to lemington next year and I am mostly going to use jerk baits and paddle tails any specific spots in the lagoon I should not target or Any tip to help me get some more fish. Thanks
Soft plastics work the best, i think. I've pulled fish out of almost any lagoon on the island, so dont count anything out. Just keep an eye out for alligators. We have a high concentration of them on the island, and they can get massize. Never go up to the waters edge to lip a fish.
Curious how u moved her? 😂 she's all mouth
Great video man!! Love how huge she is 👍 I’m getting a little Pac-Man frog myself tomorrow!
Cool little turtle 👍
I love this vid
Thank you! Trying to develop a new style of videos
Great video and she’s a real beauty. Her new home is awesome and I really like that plant.
Thank you. Weeks later and its still thriving. I will do an update soon!
love the video I want to find some of that plant for my enclosures
Great video. Your commentary is great also.
Great video. Your commentary is great also.
Great video!
Isn’t that tank a bit small? My adult box turtle has a 6 ft by 4 ft enclosure and that’s still considered small lol
Yes. Its not a long term set up. Hes now about 4" in a 40 gallon breeder.
@@AJsAnimalWorld ahhhh makes sense…it’s so hard to get a sense of the size in videos.
She's massive holy cow I have one myself she's still just a baby and I have a baby horned pac as well
Yea she was definitely feeling weird… Worms crawling back up my throat makes me feel like an alien and if I felt on display at the same time, well that’s not a good day. Seriously tho, cool vid but anthropomorphism of animals is really weird to me, and murder is when people kill people, it’s pretty specific and just muddies the water I think, like you said, it’s a life cycle, 1 healthy predator life will demand a significant amount of prey 🤷
not "kind of cute" your PM frog is adorable haha, they remind me of a hippo or english bulldog if they were a reptile
😂😂😂
HOW HAVE YOU GROWN HER THIS BIG 😭😭😭 i am trying everything to grow my guy. Versatile diet, bioactive container, temp checks
How long you had it?
Should I add isopods?
They would be great for breaking down waste and food
👏
I like that you explain the enclosure and the spider herself 😊.
Glad you liked it!
Cool spider's!!
Thank you!
I got 3 at the moment, Acanthoscuria geniculata and psalmopoeus irminia and lasiodora parahybana 🕷🕸
Subscribed from the UK 🇬🇧 I keep tarantula in my living room with me 🕷🕸
I watch mostly UK videos! Thanks mate 🫡
I had one of those but she was bigger and lighter in color.
I have a juvenile Mexican Red Knee, I didn't see her for the first couple of weeks, she wasn't eating and she stayed in her coconut. I know why now. She was molting, now she is Ms. Hungry, hungry Hippo! Lol. I fed her and now she is enjoying be out of her hutch. I have had so many different ones, she is my first Mexican Red Knee named Ruby Rose. I love her!
I think thats why we end up getting multiple spiders. Sometimes i dont see mine for months!
I try not to overfeed, but it sure is fun to feed them
That was a nice video AJ nice and chilled with some good information. I have started to wait till my larger spiders actually look hungry these days .
Thank you so much!
Great video AJ, some great takedowns, and yeah, some people get into this hobby and its got to be like set in stone, feed weekly, gotta feed weekly, then they panic if it dont eat one week, your T will, if you watch its behaviour, let you know when its hungry. T's are all looking well 👍🏻
Thanks so much, Sean!
nice
Gorgoeus t but purchasing tarantulas at petcos or petsmart or any of the other franchise multi pet pet store is not really a rescue.... Glad you got the t out of their hands cause they are absolutely not trained on proper care.
Taking an animal from someone who can't properly take care of it is definitely a rescue. RUclips titling, thumbnails, and descriptions are generated based on enticing keywords. That's just the game, bud.
@@AJsAnimalWorldEh thats debatable but whatever floats your boat little fella.
@amgtarantulas little fella lol
5:33 I have a question, you said they're opportunistic predators so it's on us to monitor their feeding, but what about in the wild, they do fine? They don't overeat in the wild so how would you explain that?
Because in the wild, it may be weeks or months before they get a sizeable meal. Maybe gobbling up a few small things here and there. They don't hunt like a snake. They sit and wait for opportunities.
@@AJsAnimalWorlda lot of snakes will sit for days or weeks, even months without moving waiting for food too.
@mike814031 living in the wild usually seems to lead to mostly healthy body weight and bodies in general… humans included… you either shape up or check out
@@swayback7375 I don't really see how that answers my question, it seems almost like a paradox doesn't it? Because if they don't overeat on their own then wouldn't it be unlikely they would do it even if you tried to over feed them?
@@swayback7375 that's a good point (referring to your first comment about snakes)
Credit to the manager for asking care questions
It wasn't on purpose but I can confirm this as my temporary pacman was hanging off my hand that it attacked just by the tongue. I had jumped noticed it was there and put my hand in the enclosure to make sure it was safe. Again this was not intentional
Nice video Aj, well done on the rehouse, smoothly done, i have 3 females together, when i rehoused them into their forever home, very rarely saw them, now, i see all three out most days, so you should still see yours. Fingers crossed for the GBB molting, always a sketchy time. Everyone else seems to be doing well, my boehmei has never dug, even with deep substrate. Keep it up buddy 👍🏻
Thank you my friend. QUESTION...Can I introduce other balfouri to my existing female? If so, would they need to be of similar size? Or would it be best to start with a communal of slings and keep my adult female on her own? Thanks
@@AJsAnimalWorld No problem buddy, you can do it either way, I've seen people add slightly grown on slings, juvies, adults, that aren't sac mates, or relatives of any kind to existing singles without any trouble at all, I've heard of a few instances where they've had deaths of younger ones, but seems to be more, injured in the line of feeding frenzy than actually being attack, and they are very few and far between. If you get slings, might be good, just precautionary, to grow them on a bit, but they should be fine anyway.
The only reason I don't already have them is just because there not cheap and I want more then one
Yes, it's very pricey... I like to wait for a nearby show and buy there. Lots of deals and trades possible.
Ahhh I totally can't wait till I get my communal I absolutely am getting them however I don't want to get just 1 separate I want to raise them together from the research I've done they are a lot more chill and docile when raised in a community instead of alone
Yeah, that is what it seems like. More docile in communal set up. They are so cool! Would love to start one as well.
You are right… you would have to have a “push-pull” fan system for cross ventilation. Great video.
