How to stop Water Pollution - Cities Skylines (No Mods or DLC)
Hello! What is this?
This is a method that will let you get rid of sewage which without mods/DLCs can’t be eliminated.
How it works?
It works by putting OFF the Water Pumping Station (connected to nowhere) in a precise moment, which leads to an state that even with the Station OFF keeps “working” pumping water.
Once you place the Water Pumping Station and this one touches the water (or sewage in this case) starts to pump (the “blue” colour that I mention on the video). If you put the Pumping Station OFF before it goes OFF by itself (as it isn’t connected to anything and the game will detect that) you will notice that the Pumping Station keeps pumping water forever, at no cost.

After awhile I had to extend the canal and add more pumps to prevent flooding. This does work.

Yes it still works I've tested it on ps4
I did this with sewage treatment plants and 4 pumps per plant plus a few extra pumps for safe measure. overflows a little when it rains and when your population goes up so make sure to add enough pumps and extras if you don’t want to keep going back to fix it.
Guys if you are going to use 1 water drain pipe then you need 2 water pump station but if you use 4 water drain pipe you need 4 water pump station so if you don't want to flood your city make sure to do it unless rip

idk but when i did this i got a huge death wave and no I did not connect the pumps to my city
This a genuine life saver! I’m on the bay map so there’s no water flow. At first I just had some filters, and stuck my drainage pipes on a island, but it began to go near the city and made people ill, this genuinely saved me so much trouble

For some reason it just stopped working for me do you know why, the canal just flooded
Do you have more pumps than drains? Maybe it is because of it (as the water can't be drained as fast as it should).
@@decapoli156 i have 4 drains and 5 pumps, i have the same system on another side of town thats attached to conpletely different pipes which is completely working fine but this one just stopped out of nowhere
Do i need more pumps maybe? Beacsue i added a lot of new pipes
@@turf9131 Hmm... seems it is well build. Maybe you should remove everything that doesn't work and start brand new. Be careful in the part where you have to put the pumps off, as maybe you were too slow and it didn't do the trick. Good luck!

Hello Notorious! Maybe you can solve it by adding more pumps. I think your problem is because you have as many drains as pumps and, to ensure it doesn't overflow, it's better to have more pumps than drains Hope it helps :)

Followed all the steps but didn’t work. Turning on the pumps fixes the problem.

Yay! Finally I can make the floating café, restaurant pier, etc. I literally used to not be able to just bc the whole map would fill with poop 😂

Hello! I don't know if it is the case, but someone said it doesn't work 3 hours ago. Maybe it has been fixed? don't know, give it another try a day from now, but if people keep commenting that it doesn't work, then can be that it doesn't anymore :( Sorry mate, hope it does!

@@decapoli156 An Update: my water pipes were almost filled with sewage. The water had no current. With the new setup, I have all the water clean and I'm going to be expanding a lot in the new city :D
