Ever since I was a kid, I loved listening to movie/TV soundtracks, and I wanted to be able to play them on the piano. However, soundtrack sheet music was very hard to find. One of my first piano books of a movie score was missing my favorite tracks from it. Even today, a lot of soundtrack sheet music is inaccurate, missing parts/tracks, or unavailable. So for many years, I just played a lot of my favorite music by ear.
Now, many years later, I have started making my own sheet music arrangements so I can be more consistent in the way I play and so they can more accurately represent the source material.
I want to be able to share these with other people who enjoy playing sheet music on the piano and other instruments. The sheet music is available on my website to download for all who are interested. Thank you for your support!

The Tuxedo - "Main Title" (Piano Solo) Arrangement FREE Sheet Music
I liked a few parts of this movie, and I always really liked the opening theme from its soundtrack. Interestingly, this score was done by one composer and then rescored by a second composer, so they put tracks from both composers, even sometimes for the same scene, on the soundtrack album.

I love the uplifting, happy nature of this music, and I have enjoyed listening to it since I was a child. It was a little tricky to make a piano solo version that was faithful to the original, fun to play, and didn't get too repetitive, but I think this one does a pretty good job. I think you missed a section during the "Short Round's Theme" bit.
This is based off of the film version of the end credits, and I transcribed it directly from the movie itself, not the album. It has quite a few subtle differences from the album versions of the end credits, including a shortened "Short Round's Theme" part. :)

So you have done this film for its 40th anniversary! Nice! Did you transcribe it by ear, or by sheets?
I transcribed it by ear. It can take a while to do, but it ensures I'm trying to get it as close to the original as possible.
@@rmxmusicprojects-soundtracks I do that too. I have done the entirety of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (Including the tracks that cannot be heard in the albums). It was quite an adventure. I also keep away from the sheets to prevent any legal issues down the line.
I am still waiting for back to the future 1 and 2 soundtrack ❤ (someday jeniffer Someday!)

Great! Thank you! Just finished the finale of season 4 of the Lower Decks. And felt like after such a great 100% Star Trek episode with a lot of guest stars and easter eggs from all over Star Trek and even other Sci-Fi - including merging the Lower Decks theme with the iconic Battle of the Mutara Nebula and the Genesis Countdown music - after that I needed some James Horner Trek music. And found your video here. Thank you. Looking forward for more! I've noticed, that the soundtrack from the good old Haegemonia game also has musical "quotes' from this score.

Thank you, it means a lot to me! I have that book of the "complete" Star Trek Theme Music, and I can't believe out of all the good music from Star Trek III they picked that disco version to put in there. Haha. It's things like that that inspired me to make my own arrangements and share them. :)

While this is great, you can here that this piece is made for an orchestra. It's missing so much when only played with a piano.
Agreed, nothing beats the original orchestral version. But hopefully this version is good enough for anyone who wants to play it on the piano by themselves. :)
