Yes, it can get out of control, and it tends to happen when people feel insecure; as in my case.

The short answer from me to being happy is no, even though I have a reasonable sufficiency of the basics, I still feel that some things are missing, and the general everyday things that happen beyond my control often leave me feeling even more unhappy and very frustrated. At the present time, my blood pressure is higher than normal and my weight is more than it should be. I'm feeling the effects of that and that makes it even harder for me to feel reasonably happy, but the high blood pressure and excess are things I can control but I've been letting myself go for quite some time and again I'm paying for that now in my body and mind. I know too how it feels to be bullied for my weight. I was fat from 3-13 and i remember coming home from school almost everyday being so exhausted from it. Its a bit of a paradox because it hurts us but then we turn to food for relief. Im 26 now and ive lost all the weight and atheletic built. Ill tell you the truth, i still feel the same, my self esteem is shattered, because i feel as though theres something intrinsically wrong with me from the constant rejection. I get hit on by so many women but i dont believe them, im so cynical.

IMO people are not judging you on your worth as a person just on your poor health choices, something that can totally be fixed. There has to be stigma in society for the sake of the health of future generations. P.S. I've had all kinds of hurtful things shouted at me from complete strangers when out running, I don't take it personally!

I personally would not take advice on health issues from anyone so obviously unhealthy, if she knew what she was talking about she wouldn't be like that.
