Betrayel by the woman i loved, it hit me harder than i could of ever imagined! It has been over 4 years and i am still not the same, it can wreak havoc on your mind and body! Day at a time! Good riddance!

The silver lining when she runs off with the kids, is you don't have to deal with any of their BS if you were smart enough to not marry, and you can always have another family. Responsibility lies with authority. They want to excercise total authority and make decisions in and outside the relationship without you. She wants to disrespect and disregard your authority. She isn't entitled to your support. One of the benefits of being from the UK, not the US. Paternity test or gtfo. Do your job as spouses and mothers, and I'll do mine. Your fragile overinflated egos getting in the way? Not our problem 'Ladies'. You call the shots, you clean up the mess. I'm 35, about to move out of the UK to the carribean. They're trapped in council estates and rent-a-rooms. We all make our own beds. We all pay for our own sins. Don't pay for theirs too. Legally, they're all stray. Treat them accordingly. Let them sit on your lap, pet it, but never let it get comfortable enough to think it is entitled to your house and assets when it returns to the street. If you have the mindset of a lamb, you will end up like a lamb. Know what they are, and get over it. Adjust your mindsets. Adapt to reality. Make sure you don't ever end up on the chopping block.

If you love someone though none of that matters. If they don't love you though and are just out to get what they can should become evident before you commit anything. I married a woman that has two daughters that have become my best friends, I'm divorced from there mum now but no regrets, it's given me a sense of purpose I didn't have.

As a married passport bro with two sons that are biologically mine, there are everyday things that will eventually drive him nuts. Even if the marriage prospers and the kids are respectful to him, his life will still be turned upside down. For instance, "his" workspace will be constantly violated by the wife's cleaning and tampering. He's going to have to deal with noisy kids, birthdays, outings with the wife's family, school plays and sports, lots of financial support, children's whining, the wife's nagging, mandatory holiday events and decorating, loss of free time, significant loss of power over his time, and playing power control games with the wife. And this is coming from a guy who is content in marriage to a traditional broad outside the US.

Well you can definitely rule out the high value because he basically gave her that power 🤮 I say that he made a real douche bag part on his behalf so don’t be surprised if this individual comes crying back to you later. She’s ultimately gonna try and seal the deal by trying to have a kid with him. If he sounds that dumb, I don’t know 😵‍💫🤨

Men, do you realize YOU are the prize?

Firstly, both men and women are people. Human beings. Some are good, most probably are, and some are bad. That's just the way it is. I'm not saying all men are bad, or all women are perfect. However, it seems to me that none of these men complaining about criticism from their wives are addressing the reasons for criticism or asking themselves if it could possibly be justified. Are you both working, and if so, are you doing your fair share of housework? Do you have children? If so, are you as a father also taking responsibility for raising and caring for your child/ren? Even if she is a SAHM, she still deserves a break from 24/7 childcare/housework sometimes. Before you jump straight to blaming the woman, try some honest self reflection.

Women more typically marry with a collected 'ethos' and understanding between her and other women that 'you'll change him' which to me as a logical male is the height of insult. Men on the other hand marry her hoping she will never change, which to me is the height of true heartfelt nobility and goodness. Never underestimate the desperation of middle-aged Western men . The clue is in his age (you said 40-something) . Like women have a "biological clock alarm" that goes off when they hit 30 , a lot of men seem to have a similar alarm that goes off if they're still single at 40 . They panic that they're "running out of time" to settle , and like a starving dog , will accept any "bone" that's thrown at them . Most of them are quite needy , might have "mummy issues" , or just be worried about "dying alone" . "Kevin's" situation is exactly the same as my old next door neighbour . He hit 55 and went into panic mode and started dating a recently divorced mother of 2 kids . He was solvent , has an elderly mother who has a big house that she's leaving him in her will . This woman's 10 years younger than him and must have thought she hit the jackpot . The funny thing is , me and him were chatting in the early days of his new relationship , and he complained to me that his OWN DAUGHTER said to him "daddy , you're her retirement plan" . His own daughter !!! Women inherently know how they work , but he even ignored his own flesh and blood & went on to marry this gold-digger . And I've seen my old best friend and my half-brother do almost exactly the same thing , "settling" for single mums . And what did all 3 men have in common ? Aged 40-55 . Men are at their most emotionally vunerable at this age and boy these female predators can sense it like a piranha senses blood in the water

Good advice. I have not experienced separation or divorce, but I am a real estate appraiser who specializes in valuation for marital asset division. I come in contact with a lot of people going through this and their attorneys. Keep emotion and drama out of this. All it does is "ring the cash register", and magnifies the financial and emotional trauma. Good advice as to not starting a new relationship. They just fuel the fire, and a relationship borne in the midst of emotional trauma goes nowhere.

After a few decades of being married I understood that eventually your woman will shut up. The hard part is to stay sane during those long years. If she offers you a divorce, don't hesitate, take it. It will be better in the long run. The worst thing is when you try to stand your ground your kids turn against you because in their understanding you hurt their mother. You are a bad guy
