I just found the shift pod a week ago because I was looking for the BEST Four Season shelter because I want to combine it with my invention, a Rocket Stove (in the-ground) Earthen Thermal Mass Heating System! It will heat a 100 +/- shelter easily, AND It will help keep it cool in summer also because Earth temps are always lower than ambient temperature.

It's girls like this you want stay away from at Burning Man. They are probably the girls who "serve" the rich at the Glam Camps. It was just as fun when rich people didn't come. The only thing the rich have done is make it easy harder to get a ticket and bring more Art Cars and create snobbery. By 2025, it will be mostly rich people and those who serve them unless they find a better place to have the event so that more people can go. There are way better places to have this event. They're just to lazy to make it happen. Black Rock Desert is a horrible place. There are other dry lake beds that have better weather and facilities close by. The people that run the fest are the people who will ultimately ruin it. 😭

nooooo.. not glow sticks. reusable lights! also the shift pod is actually pretty pricy and it equivalent to a plug and play pod; how much did you really spend on your shiftpod; and you would still need another shade structure to go with it regardless. Burning man is about creating something from the ground up; you have also missed that essential point.

How can you tell when uninformed people talk about Burning Man? They call it a music festival. Also, don't buy one of those shift pods. They're overpriced garbage that will fall over in the slightest breeze. Also, $3k per person? I'm pretty sure my spouse and I paid that much for the two of us, and that's traveling from the East Coast. And sure, we were able to share a lot of resources that would still be necessary for one person camping alone. But still, dang. For $6,000 you can live it up traipsing around Europe for a few weeks. And if you want to camp like a 1 percenter, please go elsewhere. We're actively trying to stamp out plug-and-play camps. They run completely counter to the ethos and principles of this event. If you want air conditioning and a chef on staff, do your drugs at home in your mansions.

To be honest, I think this is a pretty interesting video that points out at least two ways you can go. I like that you explain some of the things that are REQUIRED if you go it on your own (like water and sunscreen). Three suggestions I would make. 1) You are going to piss people off by calling it a "music festival". In fact the Burning Man organization has never funded music on the playa. They help fund the Art. The music comes on its own. So, also bring your guitar (under both options) and wander around and play for people. 2) I have only heard of one jet EVER landing there (in the late 90's). The sand fucked up the rotors so bad, no one has brought another one out there. Many people take a jet to Reno and then; a) Take a private plane b) Get a ride (about three hours not counting going through Gate) c) Take your helicopter d) Take a smaller, prop plane from SF or LA and you CAN land directly on the playa 3) Explain to people about the "gifting" process. Not buying. Not bartering.... Thanks again...

Am I sad to prefer this type of night life, instead of clubs? or am I just getting old? Quite enjoyed that. As far as favourite foods, in order Thai and Sushi. Fresh, tasty and healthy. Further more your personalities are awesome and for that reason alone you get a new sub. All the best.
