Just finished listening to season 3 today on Spotify, absolutely loved it. The theme song 🎵 was so great got me hooked. U two are an amazing pair, very impressed about the fact that its ur first podcast 👏 👏👏 Listening to this utube vid u both clearly enjoyed working on the podcast. The Academy proved themselves meaningless frauds decades ago.

Now that John Williams is pretty much retired, Spielberg would be wise to throw Christopher Young a bone and hire him on his next prestige picture. He's sure paid his dues and been consistantly excellent for long enough to merit the reverence.

I've listened to Goransson. He appears to have talent. I'm driven to criticize. I think the sampled sounds lack. Guys like me want to hear the room. I want to hear air move, not gigabytes of memory firing off (by themselves). Maybe I'm just old (I don't think that's the only thing at play here). Maybe that's just the way people mix today? Geeze, give me Bruce Botnick, Alan Meyerson (most times). Nice ideas still sound synthetic. Pay the people, and record the room. Pull out some M-50's and record the beauty of wonderful musicians in a room.

I moved to L.A. in '85 wanting to be a film composer. I moved back to Indiana for family (now divorced). I have followed Christopher's career and have listened to many of his scores. I admire him. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a favorite. P.S. I met you Christopher at Butler U./Michael Schelle. Happy Holidays, and keep being yourself. I selfishly hope you will continue to write. No matter what, please love yourself.

I love Young's music! The Monkey King, Priest, Freddy's Revenge and others blew my mind. I would love Young to know I couldn't take his music for Nightmare 2 off my mind when I was a kid. I adored it. And later as an adult I often find my self whistling his music while I walk the streets. So when he writes that text book, a copy will fly to my house in Chile (even though I am not a musician and much less a composer)....
