Because they’re *forced* to sleep during battle, that also includes the move rest. The animations are for sleeping on their own terms.

@@alessioitsuka675 That is how it worked in past games.. like in battle they had eyes closed and then in maybe Camp or Amie or something they had a separate animation...

I swear to God she might be my favorite Gen 9 Pokémon. Clodsire is the only one rivaling her. Armarouge is awesome too but has nothing on those 2.
I couldn't agree more. I use Tinkaton and Clodsire in my first playthrough.
