mine has different switches and ig they are just better bc i have been using mine for 4+ months and no wobble or problems at all
@@dtbsylo Oh yeah, the wobble in mine were never too significant, but still there. I didnt know that you could have different switches in them so thats interesting to know

@@dtbsylo yeah i got mine over a year ago now, that would make sense. Maybe I should look into getting a second to try out those other switches
great tutorial, thanks for making this video. the switch wobble wasn't world-ending for me but it made a noise and i got tired of it real fast, so I'm glad there was a solution for it.

HOW DID YOU PULL OUT THE SWITCHES
you can use a switch puller, or if you dont have one you may be able to use a paperclip
@@galaxyslothosu i pulled so hard on it that the plastic bent a lot (with a switch puller) and it still didn't come out

I got mine of Aliexpress. You can just search "Sayodevice 03C" and there is many listings. You can also get them off amazon I think, but just for a slight increase in price.
I literally got the same one for 36 dollers off of amazon.. :(

How do you remove the switches? When I use a switch puller it feels like i’m using too much force.
i just made sure it was pushing in the plastic parts properly and then they come out, although they did take a little more force than a normal keyboard or something

@@sheludkovskiy4703 I have a metal switch puller which pinches the sides and pulls it out. You might be able to use a paperclip or something alternatively if you dont have one

how did you put a custom image on it?
There is a software for it that I found online, I don't have time to try and find the exact one right now but if you aren't sure or cant make it work let me know again and I will just send you the software i have from my computer.

It comes with outemu red switches
epic just did the mod plus adding a layer of foam dampener and it feels greater than stock

@@vac4ncy Yea ik that's obvious but I was referring to like cut the bottom part cuz there's almost no space for the foam to even do a difference
@@picodemadera tbh it won't give that much significant difference, i just messing around by putting foam ontop of the pcb itself and it feels great (even trying to troll with just using thin grip tapes will do the trick aswell). tl;dr keyboards/keypads that are using the sandwich structure with acrylics sucks massive dick because the feedback of your tapping will feel more harsher than typing on normal mechanical keyboards.
@@picodemadera i totally don't understand by "cutting the bottom part" mean. did you meant by like taking off the bottom part of the acrylic? no because that's dangerous. why? because the bottom plate is metal and it will conduct electricity, and last thing you want from that is frying the whole pcb itself.

By the way, the purpose of the mod is to make the switches feel sturdier and less likely to accidently register keystrokes.
Yo, I wish I knew this when I still had my sayodevice. It would have been nice. Great tip 👍
Does it work on mobile?
I think that it should, although i haven't tested it myself though. You would just need an adapter of course to plug it into your phone. You may need to use a computer to change keybinds or lighting effects, but then they save on the keypad and are applied no matter the device.

whats the actuation point?
The actuation point on these are variable and adjustable to your liking. I kept mine at the default actuation point but if you want I think you can change it in the software or maybe keypad itself.

I bought mine off AliExpress. There are many listings on AliExpress for it and they are all so same product so just order whichever one is listed the cheapest I guess!

You should turn off background cuz it destracts you. Pretty cool play though
During the actual play I had the background off. The replay file was just ran through an renderer afterwards to add that special effect 👍
