Hello. Does anyone have any ideas (articles, studies, datasets) if I want to pursue the following title :Exploring the Long-Term Impacts of International Agricultural Programs and Loans on Biodiversity Conservation.. For starters I am having trouble identifying the main actors giving out money ( IFAD, Wolrd Bank? IMF? National foreign aid or is it always pooled in an I.O?)?
Thank you sir. Your overview so helpful
❤
Very good exposition of the model! Glad I found your video!
how to calculate when I’m not given upper goal post
Great video

Thank you for your explanation. I would just like know, when migrants are risk averse, will the model be in equilibrium where expected urban income is sufficiently higher than the average rural income to cover for risk of being unemployed in the urban labour market?
thank you for sharing it here sir, much applause!
👏👏👏
I was very confused when trying to understand this by just reading. Your video is very helpful!!

thanks a lot! helped me out
good day sir, what is your reference on this presentation for the industrialization strategy approach to strategic policy?
Thank you❤
wow great sir
It is true that no-one can better explain the book other than the author itself. Thank you very much Sir 😊
Wow it’s Stephen C. Smith. His book Economic development is in our course. Sir really appreciate your video
thanks a lot
Thank you for the concise summary of O-ring theory! It seems trivial to assume output is a multiplicative product of factor inputs, but there are so many non-intuitive, empirically verifiable conclusions.
I actually searched for empirical studies, and could not find that many. I think one interesting study might be to look at software engineering compensation in silicon valley. You could get panel data from new graduates, and get their offer packages (anonymized of course). You could then create an implied ranking of quality of each candidate and selectivity of each company, perhaps by using elo scores on matches. If company Y gives an offer to person X, you can say person X wins elo and company Y loses elo, and so forth. (note that the order of matches will affect the final elo rating, but you can randomize the order a few times to see how sensitive it is). Then you could see if selectivity correlates positively with total compensation and if higher elo employees join higher elo companies
Great explanation, thank you
Thank you very much for such a clear explanation on MPI, especially with the demonstration on calculating methodology.
Very good explanation, thanks!
Thank you for these, do you have a site with all your lectures for this textbook, please?

Another great book on the matter is "Why Nations Fail", by Acemoglu and Robinson. In its first chapters it touches precisely on these subjects about geography, colonization, and institutions.
