Oh this is gorgeous Dar! A really beautiful work of art ❤
@sallywalker2682 thank you so much Sally, I had been thinking about this design idea for a long time. I am looking for some round or oval mirrors to make some others, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment, happy holidays, dar.
Wow such neat projects. I just learned a lot. Thank you!
Thank you! Glad it gave you some inspo, that's what makes it so worth it for me. Especially if I mess up, learn from my mistakes. Love your comment! Regards to you, dar p.
This is great Dar!!!!! Inspiration galore!!!🩵
@glendamason8379 thanks Glenda,, glad you stopped in to watch the process, I can't believe t got the video done in 14 min. I hope it was still easy to follow.
I love the mirror! It gives me great ideas for a couple of mirrors that I have to rework. 😊
@geniewebber6812 that is great! That is what I always hope happens, somebody can get some inspo! I had been thinking about this mirror creation for a long time. I am sure if I get a chance I will make more. Thanks for watching and happy creating.
Those are so beautiful 😍 great job to reuse and recycle!
@geniewebber6812 thank you again! I am still finding gold dust in my house, lol. Next time definitely mixing it with mod podge and painting on!
I really like all the vases, but the colorful one with the molds is my favorite! These are just amazing!
@whatheatherdid9615 thank you ! You can do it, let yourself enjoy the process, it is really fun.
❤❤❤❤wonderful!
This cabinet is beautiful you got lucky on this one
@lindadalton2668 thank you! I still use it in my craft room, it holds all my sewing supplies. And if I need the sewing machine it works perfect set on the fold out section. Thanks for watching, regards, dar p.
Wow! Just wow! That frog looked so real I swear you stole it from the pond by my old house!!! I love the idea of this mirror outside reflecting the landscape with all of the artful additions! What a beautiful combination of mediums! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much, especially about the frog, since I used different paint this time around. I have been thinking about making this for a while, and I must say it really was so much fun! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on my creations, regards to you, dar p
I totally love that vase with the moulding!! All of your projects are so 😍 ❤❤Love the color choice of the mat and frame as well as the ribbon. Excellent❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Love these all so much! That frame and ribbon is beautiful ❤️🎄❤️
@@TheFlippersGuide thanks, I now know my new fix if I want a smaller print in a Matt, and some ribbon!
I can't love this enough!!! All of the layers are so realistic yet whimsical. Amazing❤❤❤
@@statementdesigns thank you lavonne, I actually couldn't believe I did get complicated quite quickly! Amazing for me. On to the next, but I never seem to get rid of any, lol
You guys are SO cute! What a great mirror!! Yes, PC paint does have a smell, but I also think it's pleasant. Great tips on handling the clay in a mould. This decoupage paper is great, isn't it? It's a paper anyone can use (even me, lol). Oooh, that grass stencil!! What a beautiful scenery! The koi fish look like the old 'My Little Pony's' with hair! We used to love those (the boys and I). Wow, how beautiful!!
Yes, the koi do look like my little pony, lol. That is good to hear this about the paper, I haven't tried any other so I Don't know what it's like. I didn't think it smelled bad, I didn't mind it, but some people out there I am sure might not like it. The grass stencil I believe I got off ebay, I had to think hard about that one, I didn't like it until I put the finish of the transfers on. Thanks cat, rest up Wednesday is coming, lol
@@diysbydar Yes! Oh, I bet some people wouldn't like that smell, right? I think it's because of the clay. Other paints with that smell are: Mud Paint; I Love HUE; Phenomena (great paint!!). Probably more.
So cute! I love froggies myself, yours turned out so good! See you soon in the chats!❤
Thank you stephanie, yes, I am trying to make the premiere as I can. I think all of us old ladies ( meaning us, not you) need a few days off and only do the necessary things, lol, until all 4 od us do our live wednesday
Really impressive! You are a mold working genius 😁
Thanks Margie, they are really easy and versatile to use. Seems to me i remember someone doing a steam punk piece with molds, where I actually learned a freezing trick from.
You are amazing!!!! Just blown away as usual by the detail and all the added elements!!! Its wonderful Dar!!! Bravo!!!
Thank you my friend, I had been wanting to do that mirror for a while, using that pond idea. I was amazed that I seemed I got it done in a week, I didn't try to get so rhembrandt on the critters, couldn't have with the Annie Sloan paint, ohhh we can talk about it Wednesday, lol,
Wow, Dar!! Your projects are amazing! My favorite is the vase. It's so colorful! I love them all though, and how you worked through your challenges ❤
Thanks Lavonne, the reverse decoupage was a lel member project. But. If I ever do the mica powder again, I will mix with mod podge and paint it on. I still have gold dust layers all over, and i don't even know how it happened, it must have just gotten in the furnace air flow, lol
Great video. Thanks for taking us along!!
@@monicahernandez2876 so glad you enjoyed it! I was able to hide most of the stuff before my husband got home, lol. But, there was no hiding that table from him. Future projects, especially that odd little table. Happy holidays, regards to you, dar.
Had to watch you create this fun piece again! Just love it! My dear, you are indeed an artist!
@ladymeropi oh, thank you so much! I sold that set pretty fast, this is a fishing community. I just love those fish bone stencils, I need to make some more of those. I think even if I did them as prints they would go good. Thank you for your support, it is always nice to hear it, since I have not monetized, or have that buy me a coffee or go to my Amazon store. It has never been that for me. Always just sharing ideas and knowledge for others!!!
All of these turned out remarkably nice. For so little you made them look like they were worth so much. Do you have friends in mind who you will give these to? I loved what you did with that vase, and the reverse decoupage ones are also beautiful. Hard to choose a favorite. Your choices and talent made all the difference. Haven't see the other posts on this challenge yet, but these will be hard to beat. Looking forward to tomorrows challenge....
Oh thank you so much my friend, yes my next one is a doozy with 4 techniques used. Well, I was thinking a family gift exchange, but now we are not doing it. So, I will probably take to my booth and see if I can sell them. I appreciate your kind words. The oriental vase looks so good on that little Bali table I did a few weeks back, I might keep it with that and put on etsy. I have been reluctant to list there because I have to learn furniture shipping! Just one more mystery I need to figure out. Lol,
love the old fashioned Santa prints you used
Hi wendy!, I just loved that Santa, and really felt he needed to be on his own in a pic. Had some challenges along the way, but as always just have to reason my way through. Happy Holidays to you and yours, regards, dar p.
Using ribbon as part of the matte frame, genius! The molding on the vase, inspiring 😊 but reverse decoupage is in my future! Thank you for participating 🎄
Thanks Margie, that curvey one was a challenge, that made the perfectly round one easy. I just took a bowl out to make French toast and got the eggs in, when I saw gold dust in it. Omg, how does that happen. Next time I think a mica powder modge podge mix to paint on would be better. My ribbon was almost a fail, but then I thought about it, and kind of liked it for an old world look. All will go for booth or gifts, thanks for the challenge, everyone did such a awesome job. Happy holidays, dar
Wow!!! These turned out phenomenal Dar i love them all. But that reversed decopoudge santa vase has got to be my favorite!! Really great thrift flips!!❤❤❤
Thanks Krystal, I went to make French toast this morning and got the eggs in the bowl, and then I saw it, gold dust in the bottom of the bowl, now how does that happen. Had to start over. I think if I do that again, I will mix the mica powder with mod podge and paint it on, lol. Thinking about Wednesday already, maybe we could talk about different paint brands with pros and cons. Happy holidays to you and yours, dar p
Dar, these are gorgeous smalls! I love the Santa photo with the Scandii Pink mat & ribbon accent. What a great idea. The mica powder - OH, I can see what you mean about spreading the dust!! Wow, what a clean up afterward. But, the result is WORTH IT! How pretty is all that gold. 🙆♀I love the vase with the moulds, too. All beautiful, reverse decoupage and so nice. 🥰
Thanks so much cat, hope your having a lovely time at your son's house. Yes, the mica powder, yikes! I will have gold dust for a long time, it seemed like it floated all over the top of everything. The furnace blew it around! Maybe next time I will make a paint out of it and paint it on. 3 going to my booth. Have a great holiday and get back safely!!!
Wonderful 🧡
Thank you Linda, I am not really a christmas person anymore. I think when and if I get a grandchild maybe things will change.
@diysbydar I still don't really do it even for the grandkids, actually especially cos of the grandkids. I don't want them to be lied to about a santa and I hate the waste. The food on the other hand 🧡🧡🧡
@@lindaroberts8612 I hear you and feel you on this one. No turkey dinner, with tins of left overs here. No xmas stuff or tree put up here. I am afraid my time goes for creating, just me my hubs and the dog! Don't need it, lol
How can anyone resist your commentary of errors when it turns out so beautifully? 😅 would gratefully buy any of those vases! ❤
Thank you so much. Yeah, I always try something different and it seems like I get roadblocks all the time. Sometimes I have to think about it over night, but I can usually find a fix. I really want people to learn from my mistakes! Plus, I hate scrapping a piece if I can help it. I just through my results into a bucket of skills and go on to the next! I appreciate you!!!! Thanks again, dar p
Gorgeous ❤
Time to get those xmas gifts going, here is an idea for you!
Love them! ❤ I still want to try molds soon! So good!
@TheFlippersGuide I have done resin and air dry clay many times, if you have problems, I can help you out!
@ Thanks so much friend!
Hello my fan. I couldn't help but notice your profile, i must say your posts are truly amazing. Just keep doing what you do ok. I love you so much. ❤
Have you added! Thanks Dar😁
Hey, I tried the link in face book on flippen fab, but the link said not available. U can add it if you have the time, I don't see the Playlist up on you tube yet.
Not yet!
Sorry I missed your live. Hopefully I'll make it next Wednesday at 7:00, gotta put it on my calendar!!!! I'm always late with everything ~ sigh.... Nice to see the faces to go along with your channels. Sure, I've contemplated also uploading videos, but the more I see what is involved and the more I realize that I just don't have that creative spark to conjure up interesting projects in a timely way (I work SO slowly.), I gave up that fantasy... I'd end up putting up a video once every three months ~ hahaha Think that if I were younger... OR, when I stop working.... Right now I have to work full time and probably will need to keep it up until I literally fall apart. Then I'll be good for nothing! I am saving this 'Live' to refer to 'IF' I ever might, maybe, could, start something on YT.... The fantasy isn't completely dead, just gasping. Thanks for all your input.
Well, I never thought I would see myself doing this at my age (soon to be 63), either. I had my channel years before I put a vid up. We are taking a night off next Wednesday because of Thanksgiving being the next day, most of the gals are driving someplace. We are still having problems getting the 4 people stream up on our you tube channels, technology is so cumbersome. I am sure we will talk about all those little things involved with doing a you tube channel along our way. Happy turkey day next week , I have 2 vids coming up next weekend!!
I hope you do keep it going! I will try to be there live to provide more instantaneous feedback. Love you all!!!❤❤❤❤
You are so sweet, hope to see you there in the future. So far it seems like Lavonne and I are the only ones who can get our videos of this up on you tube. So, go to lavonnes channel and mine to view it at this point. So much technical stuff!
You know what - O would love to be able to watch my mom on You Tube. That’s truly 0:04 a reason to create a channel even without planning on making a living - or maybe it’s a good excuse to put forth the effort! See, you all are so inspirational!
Awwh, thank you so much. I think I am the only one who could care less about making money, because I don't. Yes, I have thought about that, if I ever have a grand child they can always go watch me on line, lol.
I love that when Cat thinks something is technical, I think that sounds easier, and what Cat thinks is more comfortable terrifies me. 😂
Lol, cat has no fear. We are both retired nurses, and I think that changes your mindset on approaching new things to get a job done.
The first video I ever saw of Krystal involved sewing (a seat cover I think), & I was totally intimidated as she cut cloth on a cutting board in her dining table, just like it was nothing. 😅 But I knew I could learn from her.
Yes, we all seem to have our own special talents. Wish we lived closer together, boy we could have a cool shop!
The first video I ever saw of Krystal involved sewing (a seat cover I think), & I was totally intimidated as she cut cloth on a cutting board in her dining table, just like it was nothing. 😅 But I knew I could learn from her.
Yes, krystal has no fear when it comes to creating something, she is very good at crafting and creating.
I hope you guys get to see that this video is appreciated. Bit mostly 😅 hope you all enjoy spending time together so that I can pipe in occasionally. ❤
I think you hit the nail on the head, for some reason we all get along no matter what are age is. I think it's that love of creating something we all have in common.
I hope you guys get to see that this video is appreciated. Bit mostly 😅 hope you all enjoy spending time together so that I can pipe in occasionally. ❤
Yes, we all definitely compare notes on what we are doing and learn from each other. Hopefully things will come together a bit better as we keep trying this podcast.
Girl we LOVE when you pipe in!! You are hilarious and crack us up!! ❤❤you are the best!
I will set two alarms for next week - I hate to miss it - even though I think I might be interrupting your 4-way convo.😂
No, you ask away, that's what we are wanting to create, 4 opinions on what a person might want to ask!
I don’t understand the nasty comments. I watch all types of furniture videos because I love furniture and saving old items. Even so, my preference is for restoration and wood versus paint. Even so, I love the work you all do!!! It’s beautiful! I am so impressed by your innate talents. 😊 then, you are hilarious!
I have always done public speaking in my career as a R.N., and I am a joker by nature. It has always helped me break the barrier when taking care of patients over the many years.
@@diysbydar public speaking and nursing! I’m impressed. I’ve always thought the best nurses were funny - it really helps to keep spirits up.
@gf8958-p7p yes, that was what started my humor, it always helps me assess my patients better. My public speaking was all medical stuff, boring, lol.
As usual I’m talking nonstop, even thought the live is long over! 😂
Lol, I can talk nonstop too! But, sometimes I can't find the right words or forget what I am wanting to say because my brain has a big lupus brain fart!
@@diysbydar LOL!
Dar - I had no idea you have Lupus! My maternal grandmother & sister had/have it. I’ve been tested for it since I was 10, but am lucky. My sister had a kidney transplant and is doing wonderfully ever since. I’m so glad you have fought your way through and are dealing with the stress of being on YT. ❤ Anyway, I really love all of the content from each of you!
Yes, your kidneys are the first to take a hit, the meds can take a another toll on your organs besides the disease. You are smart to keep testing yourself. My son is 30, he has been tested already. Sorry to hear how it has affected your life and loved ones. Some days it is tough, but creating things helps take my mind off of pain and feeling sick!
I’m so sorry I missed this live. I’m watching now, but I’m going to double-check my alarm next week! I love watching you guys chat. It’s so informative - and usually I can’t keep my mouth shut when I’m there!
Hi, we have been trying to figure out this 4 way streaming and taking it to each one of our you tube channels. I think this next week we are skipping because it's the night before Thanksgiving. Most of everyone will be traveling. So, probably pick back up the following week.
@@diysbydar ah, yes! Even being so late in the month this year, it is sneaking up on me. LOL. Have a great holiday! 🦃
You guys are too funny at the start of these videos! I use RUclips’s free music library that I add after uploading. Otherwise WeVideo is a super user friendly video editing program. I use DeVinci Resolve, it’s free but rather technical. The music info was great. I blocked one person because they went after others and were posting absolutely wrong info, think that was a bot. Usually, I think negative comments come from either a person who is not having a good day or they think they are trying to help. In a way they are helping with the algorithm. Close shots cover all body ills! Thanks for the challenge shoutout 😊
I love all of these project, especially the tiered tray!
@statementdesigns thank you! Just plugging along!
Love all 3 projects! Fun, happy, cheerful, festive! You always explain everything so perfectly…thank you! 🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡♥️🧡

Some lovely gift ideas here! Nice, clean work.
@@ArtDecoFurniture thank you much!
Ohhh these turned out great!! Great way to cover up that blemish with that resin mould!! I love how they all turned out in the end!!
Yes, that darn tray. Had to come up with something. I am not doing well on margies crafts either, screwed up 1 thing royally, had to change it into an old and aged piece to salvage it. Hey, wednesday what about discussing what we use for video programs and taping for you tube on our discussion panel?
Fun video, nice crafts, and perfect instruction. I've gotten away from making crafts these days. I have a bunch of finished crafts sitting in a box that I don't know what to do with. I've gifted my handiwork a bit too often to my friends, I think they've had enough... Perhaps I'll get it together and try to sell them at my local flea market next summer, or end up just 'biting the bullet' and just donate them? Surely, they'll get a good home that way. Do you sell your crafts that you don't give as gifts? Oh, I did want to mention that I purchased that gold paint that you recommended, and I do like it, BUT did you read the label??? Goodness, they have terrible warnings about it's toxicity and flammability. Said not to inhale. Can cause cancer!!! And to wash hands after use. Oh my! Need to find a good water soluble gold paint in the future.
My family has had enough of my stuff that is for sure. I have a booth at a nice store, but last year 200.00 in the hole for the year. Rent is 300 a month. I also sell on etsy. But I still have alot of stuff too! I read the warnings on the bottle, if you ever find something that works as well as that and is more user friendly, please let me know. Lel, from made by Marley is working on making a gold. They are very conscious of all aspects when it comes to making things. I really hope she can do it. It is really hard to get something that works as well as that. Come join us Wednesday nights at 7, we have a live forum on you tube. Myself, Cat from owling dog, Lavonne from statement designs, and krystal from the crafty breech. Open Q & A ! Thanks for stopping in, regards to you, dar p
