James Gunn really took 5 characters no one had ever heard of and made one of the most beloved film trilogies in recent memory.

I have only cried 4 times watching movies,1-the beginning montage of UP,2-Hachi:a dogs tale,3 and 4 were both from this movie,Where rocket sees the Raccoon tag on the cage of the little racoons,and this ending shot where Drax cries while waving goodbye to mantis. ISTG if this wasn’t a Marvel movie it would have won oscars.

Thank you James Gunn for not only giving us a team, but a family ❤️ No disrespect Fantastic Four, but this is a true team, this is a true family. Thank you Guardians for all the adventures. I’m gonna miss them 😢 What I find so special is finally getting to see Drax dance and be a Dad. The one thing he swore he would never do is dance. But to see him dance for all the little kids is truly special and heartwarming.

Over the Spam of 11 years these guys earned the respect of the MCU fans good writing storytelling comedy action took a team nobody knew anything about and made them one of the best superhero teams ever nowadays you can't have a superhero team list and not have these guys somewhere in there thank you James Gunn and everyone involved ❤❤

Looking at Walt Disney Pictures movie title cards, it sparks the imagination of a distant future (tentatively the 2060s) where Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy (Atom -> Aston / Alton / Adam) gets a Disney adaptation and releases a new series. Since copyright protections might change before 2059, it'll be interesting to see what developments occur.

I didn't like the ending at all. The whole point of Guardians of the Galaxy is that this group of people who have lost everything find each other and see themselves as family. Tearing them apart at the end is brutal. Especially for Rocket, who is now traveling with a group of strangers. They should also have found a way to bring the old Gamora back. Gamora with the Ravengers is a no-go for me. The Guardians as a group deserve their happy ending.
