Thank you 😊 This was helpful. I a new Seniors water aerobics teacher. They told me not to use Music, after I used Music for my first class. The reason is because the Seniors take their hearing aids out, to get in the water. The first time, I taught on deck. They asked me to get in the water with the Seniors, to make sure I am not going too fast. Now they can’t see what I am doing because they can only see the top of my head. So, they just look confused. I can’t wear my microphone in the water. So, they can’t hear me well. I don’t know what to do. 🤷♀️ It’s harder to remember all of the exercises without the Music.
Yes, every group will be different in terms of liking or not liking music, as well as the volume. You could use music on low for yourself to keep you on track with the flow and timing. I use a lot of hand gestures and facial cues with my seniors both in the pool and out of the pool because many of them have a very hard time hearing.

Most of what I use and share I have a quired over the last 3 1/2 years of teaching Silver sneakers programs and also through my certified personal training work one on one with senior adults… One thing I have found is there is not one perfect fit As a senior adult instructor, it is necessary to be super flexible in your plan.
@@kimmypapi4529 Yes, I’m a Personal Trainer as well. I got Certified, right before lockdown. Therefore, I have not had any clients yet, due to the pandemic. I do Group Fitness Classes though.
