Great video <3
This video just came at the perfect time. For me talking to a small group of people isn't the problem but every time I need to talk to more than 10 people my heart starts racing and my eyes tear up. I can't control it and I don't know how to fix it.
@@Ole696 Most people struggle with this. If you encounter situations where you must talk to large groups, that’s a fantastic opportunity to expose yourself, gain experience and ultimately realize that the thing that makes you agitated is just a false belief. You consciously know it’s not a life or death situation, all you need is proof, to convince your subconscious too. I really suggest to take the courage. Mastering this has an unbelievably high return on investment!

I like Optimistic Nihilism!
I haven’t watched the video, but I think being nihilistic towards the past is too extreme. Good moments from the past are all you will have when you die. don’t let the past hurt your present, but also don’t cut off enjoyment from it either.
@@yaha2937 You could definitely have a great life adopting your perspective. But why not continue to look forward for as long as possible? All while enjoying the journey, until the end point.
when most of your life is ahead of you sure, but the past is something to be enjoyed, purity and youth, 0-20, were for me and I'm sure many other a beautiful and vivid dream-like era.

Very well said! The desperation or the perversion to attain a result corrupts the pathway required to attain it. It somewhat comes to the fact that getting charismatic just for the sake of getting charismatic is a hollow goal. The same way self-improvement for the sake of self-improvement is hollow too. There's an element of insincerity in it. “Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell.” ― Edward Abbey, The Journey Home: Some Words in Defense of the American West I like how nihilism works as a regulariser as it detaches one from the expected outcome and let's them focus completely on the process.

You can’t be anything but authentic. No need to look for it, it’s always there. But the worry about authenticity is unnecessary. Drop the thoughts and everything falls into place
@@henrike34 Exactly!
Very well said. It reminds me of an excerpt from the Poem Desiderata by Max Ehrman: "But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness." People do trust people who are present in the moment, whatever that moment be. A word in the defence of nihilism as well; it takes away the desperation of failure. It's important to take away the focus from playing not to lose, to playing to win. In a way, nihilism is our chips we put in this "bet" of wanting something. Samurais, used to do this practise where they would sit and imagine themselves losing a duel and dying by the sword of their opponent. They'd meditate on this vision over and over until the fear of death is removed from their minds and they can go into the battle being completely present. "Train yourselves to let go of everything you fear to lose" - Master Yoda

Feeling nihilistic is usually a sign of depression or transition. Nihilism, as a frame of mind , howver, can be freeing and actually, full of hope and dynamism.
trauma is not about the aproach or thinking on conscious level, is about emotion and experience on both consicious and unconscious level. It is not the matter of simple choice.
Indeed, it occurs mostly at the subconscious level, but whether we let go of it or allow it to keep guiding us is ultimately our choice. It's a simple choice, but a difficult process.
The overall health of your nervous system plays. A large part in your ability to let go. I recommend looking into Irene Lyon, and several audiobooks on the subject.@@AlexMoraru25
Interesting.
good video I think that people often assume that shyness and introversion are synonymous while shyness is a real handicap and introversion is a simple personality trait
Exactly!
It’s true. I’ve noticed that the attachments of our past selves are the most important sources of anxiety because we’re obsessed with trying to accomplish old desires. It causes us to make bad decisions in the present, often against our own best interests. We need to let go of our attachment to old fantasies from the past, and this frees us to accomplish real goals.
@@mistakenmillenial6834 Precisely! Attachment is a toxic trait anyway.
