What a great review! Loved your description of the set I built! This production was probably the first one I felt like I wasn’t the right person to perform it but then I built the set, then I got my skirt and mic’d up and it felt so right! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I couldn’t finish this “review” because you lost me when you said “Dreamgirls” isn’t a good musical. Now maybe the problem is this particular production you saw, and I don’t know how many Broadway shows you’ve seen or your knowledge of musical theater history, (especially Black musical theater history) but to claim that you’re ’not in the minority’ with your opinion leads me to believe that you really don’t know what you’re talking about! But that’s just MY opinion!😒

Oh, it's definitely Rocky Horror Picture Show for me by far. Unfortunately, I never got to see the stage production, but since the movie had most of the original cast, I'm going to count it. And the were live in anycase. I went to midnight movies dressed in costume. I got to play Riff Raff once. It was a blast.
