On a first time playthrough what makes the game is hard is figuring out where to go or what to do at times. When you play on Dante Must Die mode. The bosses become titans with lots of health and attacks that do a lot of damage.

Dude, dmc1 was very hard even in normal mode because clunky movesets and fixed camera angles. And voice dialogues are accurate.

Recently started DMC1, gotta admit, this was a banger video! Especially loved the abridged cutscene dialogue, the Mundus bit gotta be my fav 😂

just finished this game and started on dmc 3. this game was much better than i expected for how old it is, solid 8/10. love the aesthetic and vibe, hated nightmare with a passion. combat was fun but janky, dialogue was god awful in the best way possible (cough cough dark soul cough cough)

Getting consumed by the sludge isn't necessary during the Nightmare fight actually. However, as I can now see, the red orb bonus is really good. Although getting consumed on purpose is probably risky.

18:00 I just finished doing a blind playthrough on the game and I disagree. He was more bullshit than anything, especially introducing a new janky gameplay style for the first half. The second phase was super easy, I just ran around building Devil trigger and then would shoot him to death. It was more tedious than difficult

I have a saint patience and or I play to much jrpg's so when nelo angelo become harder than phanton I don the most logical thing to do in a hack n slash game..... I just run in every single room of the game killing enemies to farm red orbs and upgrade everything I can from full devil trigger to full heatlh and every single alastor atack...... yeah it was annyoing, exausting, annnoying, and very very very boring and took me hours..... but man when I goes back aftar that..... oh boy.... I beat him in two tries instead of 15 lol!
