Love this video. I've lived on Whidbey (south end) for 7 yrs and have driven by this place many times. Had no idea how much goes on here. Looks very fun and family oriented. . . . . And those French Fries . . . 😜! ! ! !

It has been a few year since i went to the drive in as i moved off island for several years. I didnt even realize that was nick and stevie at first. So good to see them. They were helping mom dad and grandpa out in the snack bar the go carts and arcade when they were just little guys. We used to go just about every weekend while my kids were growing up. Miss all of them and daryl and laurie so much. They are great people. I remember when the screen blew down and that stevie had prophesied it lol ❤❤❤ from the baker family

Great memories: July 4th, 2007, Triple Feature. Got there at 6pm, left at 530am! Saw the sun come up. Most AWESOME, MEMORABLE time ever!
I've only made it through ONE triple-feature!! It's a right of passage😂-Nick
Now that you can stay over night it allows people from further away a chance to come check out the drive-in, get some sleep and head back home in the morning.
It's so awesome that the Bratt family allows you to crash overnight after the legendary Triple-Features!!

When I first arrived on Whidbey in 1970 as a young Naval Aviator one of the first in town places I went to was Chris’s Bakery on Main Street for a doughnut and a cup of coffee enjoying the view overlooking the harbor and Penns Cove. It started a tradition of going to Chris’s every Saturday morning as often as I could and seeing a lot of people I got to know over the years. In those days, Whidbey Island was idyllic, one traffic light on the whole island and only two lane roads, again, on the whole island. Lived there, Coupeville address, for thirty nine years and the island is no longer the same and never will be again. My first house on 9th and Clapp in Coupeville with half a block cost $11,000 and five acres off Patmore was under $10,000. Those days are gone as am I but the memories of earlier days and Chris’s Bakery will always remain.
That sounds lovely! We know Whidbey is changing but it is still the best place in the world! Semper Fortis!!
kudos to nick and crew. while i didn’t know him personally when living on whidbey, he did an awesome job finding ways to make oak harbor a fun place to live. i remember seeing his sticker all over the place and people always smiling when they would talk about him. keep it up and can’t wait to binge this series.

So glad my childhood bakery returned! Growing up here in Oak Harbor, my Mom always bought the best Potato Rolls and sugar donuts I've ever eaten. Those almond crescents are crazy yummo!! Hope your show can reach the masses ~ Congrats to you and your video crew!!

Such a great establishment! My mil called during the height of covid from Texas and they came in on their day off baked me a cake bd cake and delivered it! I didn't know all the details until after. Forever the best, especially the maple bacon bars!

Great job Nick! My only issues with Blue Fox is Nick lets their family dog roam the grounds unleashed. He poops all over, harasses dogs that are leashed, and steals food from kids. I mentioned it to Nick at the bar and be just rolled his eyes.
