Keep it up man. I have been in your shoes in regards to bass, and I can tell you that it gets hard. There will be days where you hate this instrument with a passion. There will be equally as many days where you can't stop playing. No matter the situation, just don't give up!

For an extra authentic Cliff Burton touch, play with your plucking fingers right over the bridge pickup.

Thats great! Try holding your thumb behind the fret board, it'll give you way more control over your hand position and faster movement. Also, as a general rule of thumb (no pun intended), try moving your thumb with the rest of your hand when you pluck, i try to keep it a string higher then the one im plucking. Aside from that, keep practicing, and welcome to the bass family!

Nice work dude! Doing hella good! If you’re looking for any advice or anything, try placing your thumb on the back of the neck of the bass, almost like you’re doing the Italian ‘mama Mia’ hands if you get what I mean, as it means you don’t have to push as hard on the strings. I know it can get a bit awkward near the high end of the neck but just stick at it, you’re already doing great as is so I doubt you’ll have an issue. Good luck with learning 👍👍
